It’s not going to be any different. He will kill Ron’s presidential hopes just like he did those others.

I don't know anyone in my circle of friends who would vote for Trump over DeSantis. DeSantis is so much smarter than Trump that I hope they debate. It will be a beatdown. My hope is Trump is indicted. The sooner that idiot goes away the better.

Interestingly there are a number of similarities between the healthcare plan enacted in Massachusetts when Romney was governor and the ACA, including the individual mandate. Out of the 50 states, Massachusetts also has the highest percentage of its population covered by health insurance, Texas is the lowest.

Didn't you watch the 2016 debates where Trump just dunked on debate club nerds like Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio and won easily? Trump will call him "Lil Ronda" and it'll be over.

Nope. If you think DeSantis is like Bush or Rubio you are way off.

That's a lazy comparison that isn't close to true. Only thing he has in common with those 2 is the political party. It's like comparing Obama to Biden.

Jeb Bush was governor of Florida too! He was considered a frontrunner, and all the "smart" Republicans liked him too because of his record. Comparing Jeb to Desantis is like comparing Pawlenty to Scott Walker, two career politicians who have slightly different personas but are as interesting as a shoe (but political media take them seriously because they arent total bozos). And as we've seen in primary after primary, entertaining bozo "trumps" boring career party guy.

LOL. Keep thinking DeSantis is just like Bush and Marco. We will see in about a year who is right.

gotta agree with 95 here. While Bush & Marco were certainly HUGE gov pubs, they did not have the creativity to try to get government into every crack & crevice of our lives like Chy-na Ron. EX. How many useless BIG GOV police forces did they create?

Yeah, who would want to live in a state that put kids back in schools as quickly as any state in the US? I'm pretty happy the Govt got so involved with my kids that they made sure they didn't force a vaccine that healthy kids don't need. But back to Rep bashing...

DeSantis would probably respond more aggressively. He's a smart guy and if he should debate Trump he will try to avoid the mistakes that Rubio, Bush and the other mainstream Republicans made in 2016. That being said it will not matter to members of the Cult of the Donald who still worship Trump as if he were a demigod.

Sure there are some nutjobs who love trump, just like there are nutjobs who like Bernie. But the vast majority of normal people(IND and REP) would choose DeSantis over Trump in my view. I literally know no one who would take Trump over DeSantis. IF Trumps wins the nomination then I will go 3 straight voting cycles without having voted for Pres.

No way Trump came up with "sanctimonious." I detect the hand of a campaign wordsmith.

Despite his rhetoric Trump is just as aligned with the corporate world as any mainstream Republican. See his 2017 tax cut bill as an example. It was a windfall for corporations and the wealthy much less so for the working class voters wearing the red MAGA hats.

It's alarming how many posters here so easily pivot to Democratic talking points that have been pushed forever, almost word for word. It's almost like you're on auto-pilot......
