Bowers is better as are several others. He’s nowhere close to even being the best player on his team.
Is this a serious thread? He's not in the Heisman conversation because he's done absolutely nothing Heisman-worthy in his entire career, and especially not this year. He almost single-handedly got UF back in the game last week until Kirby had enough and stuck with running the ball.
So if we put Stetson on USC, how many losses do they have? So I would argue Williams is more important to USCs success than Stetson is to UGAs. Check their stats, one guy is avg and the other is a stud. Look what Bryce does for Bama when you want to talk about difference makers. If you swap these two, Bama is 3-5 and UGA is still 8-0 and probably beating people by 50 every game. Stetson is the worst QB to win a title since Craig Krenzel.
He the engineer! You can’t name a player more deserving. He destroyed Tenn and Kirby pulled off the Dogs in the second half. I think Stetson wins it and it won’t be close. But ur opinion matters of course
I guess anything can happen. Alabama would have three or four more Heisman candidates if that line of thinking worked. I wonder how Bennett stats against Tennessee’s defense would line up against other quarterbacks who played Tennessee? Stats for a quarterback usually determined the Heisman Trophy.
Toretta was before krenzel but crouch could be worse than krenzel and got his later so at least that reference could hold up.
He’s the perfect fit for what they want to do as an offense. Kirby trust him and he does come up with big plays with his legs and arm. That being said maybe he deserves to be in the conversation but he’s not a good 3-5 guy.
Actually that would Actually that would be Paul Hornung of Notre Dame… who was a QB in college. He is still the the only Heisman winner from a team with a losing record, and not just any losing record… try 2-8. The real travesty was Jim Brown finishing 5th, although Peyton Manning ain’t got nuthin’ on Johnny Majors who finished 2nd.
Georgia would not have won the Natty last year without him nor they wouldn’t win it this year without him. Look at this with some objective views!
His story was a bit more compelling last year.....unheralded 2-star QB beating out 5-stars and leading his team to a national title. Now he's just another undersized QB with medicore stats on a team with the best talent in the country.
I called him Super Bowl Cam Newton (in the game thread) for that. Completely was gonna let UT recover it.
