Wonder why he is not in the Heisman talk . I think he probably should be the front runner. He is as deserving as any of the candidates
Because he has 11 TD passes and 3 picks? About 20 QB’s have 20+. Maye has 31. I like him and he’s def a winner. Just not much of a show unless you really like TE dig routes.
No. I don’t believe he deserves it by any measurement. He has 11 TD’s in 9 games. Good for him for not losing them a game, but don’t see how that equates to a Heisman.
He is as good of a choice as was Gino Torretta. Methinks we have gone away from that model to the one with the best Fantasy Football stats. It is what it is.
Your stand is well taken wingtree, but the perception, right or wrong, is that Bennett is not so much a great player as a great game manager.
I guess I see it differently. He has some nice receivers and an offensive line . He has a great defense that can bail him out but he performs at the highest level. Plus he already has a ring and getting another. Nice story for this guy ! He has my vote
You are really wrong here . This guy makes them go . Yes he has advantages but I’ll say he is deserving as anyone else out there.
Because he is no where near as good as anybody getting heisman consideration. Also he is like 5 foot 4
Although it’s an individual award, if you look at previous winners, a team’s number of wins matter in the Heisman voting. Having said that, Bennett’s gotta be the best player on his team first if he’s gonna be considered. Right now it’s Jalen Carter or Brock Bowers if they can get enough flashy stats. The Heisman’s still Hendon Hooker’s to lose currently.
If AR had all of those receivers Bennett has, we'd have the 2020 team and AR would be considered a frontrunner.
Also, he clearly jumped OUT of the way when their RB fumbled the ball against UT early. Then the TN guy accident hit it towards him and thats the only reason he was involved in the play. I was really surprised to see him do that but he 100% didnt want to get hit “just” for a fumble. And this was early, well before it was obvious they were gonna win.
