He was OC at clemson in 2017 when they beat Alabama for the NC. He and CBN are close friends. Wonder if Billy hires him to call plays.

Incorrect... Taggart had 'em going pretty good and Charlie had some success taking over Taggart's talent. I'm thinking Scott Frost might be a good choice. He bombed at Nebraska, but did a heck of a job at UCF. That success is relevant to the USF job.
Clearly the team wasn’t winning many games, but I am just pointing out that the notion of “deserve” is changing. Remember the big deal that was made when Florida fired Zook in the middle of his third year? I think that was the first time that a program had ever fired a coach so soon for solely football reasons. Obviously, it’s unlikely that all the worst coaches in history have been hired in the last 20 years.
