I don't agree that the players are not getting paid. And, yes, Alabama is getting everyone's best shot. You have the best players in the country according to recruiting rankings. So Alabama has the talent advantage and should expect to get everyone's best shot. That's the rub. I'm sure Saban is not going to recruit all 2-stars to have a mediocre record just to give his players a mental break.
Yes he is! The more you win, the more you are expected to win! The more you win the more your opponents get up and play their best against you! It becomes a monster to satisfy your fans! The more you win the harder it is for your players to be motivated to get better!
And when they lose it’s usually literally by a point. They almost never get decidedly beaten. I’m not on this “it’s over” train. I’ll need to see them get handled a couple of times first.
