Incoorect ! While both political parties have elected representatives who don’t give a shit about not only those who elected them as well as those who didn’t, writ large there’s a major underlying difference between the parties (setting aside seditious conspiracy to end democracy in the US).

    basic human decency.

With the GOP cruelty is a feature not a bug.

Somehow though one side tries to help the common people with programs like ACA and the other side tries to help wealthy people by cutting their taxes (and trying repeal programs like ACA).

All politicians are self-interested to varying degrees. That is a fair statement.

    Not all are traitors.

Trump: "It's too bad Ron doesn't have some disability so I could imitate him." (Cheers and applause from the base.)

As I've said before "They're all the same" tends just to be an attempt to excuse inexcusable behavior by someone on your side of the aisle.

    Meanwhile, Trump's attack is ...
    1. Just another example of how sleazy the man is and what a lot of rightwing politics has become.
    2. Will be kinda fun to watch.

Oh the Uni-Party will make every effort to take Trump down any way possible before 2024 making way for DeSantis. I truly believe any way possible. The Mitt Romney’s, Mitch McConnell’s, Paul Ryan’s, Kevin McCarthy’s etc are trying to leverage the RNC club dynamic over Ron DeSantis and provide enticements to maintain the alliance with their internal battle plan to retain full control over the Republican Party. The DNC wants no part of Trump as they know with the Senate & House how vulnerable they would be to their past malicious wrongdoings. That goes for FBI, DOJ and all parts of the government that need a Twiiter weeding out. Trump has many many enemies.

So, it's Trump and his MAGA posse vs. everyone else. If they do take down Trump before 2024, which is my guess they will. Look out for someone like Kari Lake who could mow down anyone in her way including DeSantis. She's the new super star. It's been written out in the blogosphere that Trump is not the MAGA candidate. He's the murder weapon and the GOP is the victim. This is all going to get real interesting the next 2 years.

That’s bullshit River and you know it. Most here already know of my disdain for all politicians. So mince you don’t seem to, I’m letting you know that again.

Unfortunately these programs that you herald guarantee that many of the recipients will be handcuffed to a lifetime of government assistance. On top of that, show me a government program, and I’ll show you examples of fraud that doesn’t get caught.

Agreed, he is driven and intelligent. His story reads like the Manchurian candidate minus the war hero. JAG officer to pay off school and build resume was a shrewd move. He is also petty egolinaniac, vindictive, and surrounds himself with people who tells him what he wants to hear. A very dangerous combination of traits. I applaud the first group, I fear the latter. He has already shown that laws mean little to him and there is no hope that a pub congress would ever try and challenge him as potus.

A lot of underlining talk of violence in that post “murder” “mow down” but I agree there will be blood spilt.
Goes to the said absence of basic human decency among all Trump supporters

how does RD go after trump. obvious attacks are the same thing anyone would say - outside of maga (ie trump never tells the truth, Jan 6th was not a inside job, the rioters should be held accountable for beating LEO, etc) and trump would quickly label desantis as rino. And his followers would then also.

On top of the low brow insults, it will likely be an exercise in who can commit more performative political crimes to please “the base”.

You really don't see any motivational difference between Trump and, say, Jimmy Carter? Both cut from the exact same cloth?

Then propose a viable alternative safety net or declare that there should be none and that society has no debt to the physically or mentally challenged.

Family values, integrity, self built. Let Trump rant, ignore his rants, sell his story. A new and improved candidate willing to yield executive authority in defiance of the law and appoint the correct judges. A tool crafted and now being deployed.
