He’s graduating this semester, right? Probably need to ask insiders to confirm if he’s still on the team.
To blitz, the rest of the defense needs to get their assignments right. It’s looking like more guys are on the same page and we can add a little more.
I’m sure the quarterback would have beat some of those places and made big chunk plays on us. But seeing that their quarterback couldn’t really do shit, the move was a great move
Excellent post. And to think we had opportunities to beat the two teams that bama lost to. Also, I strongly believe if we play Kentucky with today’s team we win by 10
Yep. If Trey dean doesnt play, we beat UT. If one of the worst roughing the passer calls doesnt get called, we are down to LSU by a TD with the ball and like 6 minutes left. We had our chances against Kentucky and didnt take them. Honestly UGA is the only game (even though we showed glimpses) that we actually should have lost. I don’t expect the mistakes made in those 3 games to happen next year. And we *should* be much deeper. If we win out like we should, this year was a major success. All issues are fixable
When a guy alone up in the nosebleed seats can wear an App State shirt all game and not get an actual nosebleed you know they must be nice people
Nobody talking about it but one of my favorite plays was at 8:18 of the 2nd qtr, 4th down. AR runs right, pitches to Johnson and immediately blocks the defender.
If anyone wants to watch the game again - a replay is scheduled for this evening at 6pm on SECN.....followed by the Bama/LSU game!
The first 2022 College Football Playoff Rankings came out this week. Four of the teams Florida already played are in the top 15, and Florida is the only team in the country to have played three in the top 10. 1. Tennessee 8-0 3. Georgia 8-0 10. LSU 6-2 14. Utah 6-2 Florida had a chance to win 2 of those games (Tenn & LSU), and did win another one (Utah). It shows what Billy Napier is up against with the talent he inherited, lack of quality depth, or brought in through a short recruiting period after getting the job. Let's just hope that the tough schedule they've been through will payoff over the next 3 games!
That’s was an enjoyable watch. Actually giving the ball to Pearsal in motion instead of the eternal fake, AR making decisive on target throws with confidence and being a willing runner that punishes defensive players. I like it.
We have played tough against the best teams in the country. They are better than us but we don’t totally suck. We should have beat Kentucky but AR shit the bed. If he played like he is capable of, we win that game. He’s far from a great qb right now but yesterday, he did what he is capable of at this point in his development.
For a while we were running meaningless and ineffective stunts with the DT. Of course no one slid i to the gaps and we would get gashed up the gut. Getting a cohesive line would be great.
And lb’s filling the proper lanes behind them. Only as strong as the weakest link and a good qb exploits mistakes.
