Here's more about the story. It involves a Republican lawmaker 'who has been a frequent promoter of false election claims'. A Wisconsin lawmaker who has been a frequent promoter of false election claims is suing to prevent the immediate counting of military ballots in her state after she received three ballots under fake names. The lawsuit, filed on Friday, was brought by a veterans group and three individuals, including Rep. Janel Brandtjen (R), the chairwoman of the State Assembly’s elections committee. Last week, Brandtjen received three military ballots under fictitious names that were allegedly sent to her by Kimberly Zapata, a Milwaukee election official. Election officials have criticized Brandtjen for spreading false claims about the system, and Zapata later told prosecutors she was trying to alert Brandtjen about an actual weakness in the state’s voting system that should be addressed. Days later Zapata was fired and charged with a felony and three misdemeanors. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/11/05/wisconsin-military-ballots-fraud-lawsuit/
A Republican suing to stop military ballots from being counted ... of course, the OP thinks it's great ..
Multiple studies have shown election fraud is between 1 in 50,000 to 1 in 100,000 ballots. Fraud this small should be stopped, but it's ultimately inconsequential. Show me real fraud on a mass scale.
I do not, I don't care what party does this crap they need to go to prison. The punishments are obviously not strong enough because it's still happening. Start making election fraud mandatory life sentences and this chit stops.
I think this whole voter fraud business is terrible. It's so terrible that I think we need to not count any votes from the voter fraud hotbed here in Florida, The Villages. We're all just going to have to make that sacrifice together.
What I find odd is military members do not need to register to vote in Wisconsin. I do know if you are a military member you need to register to vote in Virginia. Why is it not required in Wisconsin? Military & Overseas Voters Military Voters Active members of one of the five armed service branches, their spouses and dependents. Military Voting As a member of the military, you do not need to register to vote. However, to vote absentee using MyVote, you will need to complete a form on the site prior to voting. As a member of U.S. Military or a spouse or dependent of a member you are eligible to receive an absentee ballot online, by email, by fax or mailed until 5 p.m. on Election Day. Vote Absentee By Mail If you are in the military, you do not need to be registered to get an absentee ballot, but first we need you to search for your record. The question I have is what records are they searching. I do know the military maintains a database of all active duty members that law enforcement has access to. That database is used by law enforcement to determine if a person is active duty and AWOL (absent without leave). As to how much information in that that database they have access to I have no idea. What I do know is these databases have much more than just home of record information, name and birth date and enlistment information..
Florida has allowed mail in ballots for who know how long. Probably 25 or 30 years. Are you saying that Desantis is not the legitimate governor? Of course you aren't
1) To be fair, that is only the estimated fraud based on what’s been discovered. It’s tough to prove a negative. 2) That said, I am not even sure it should be stopped. It’s a basic tenet in economics that reducing risk of a harm to zero is always cost prohibitive. Economist Robert Frank notes that no one gets their brakes checked everyday, as we all understand that the costs of such vigilance outweighs the benefits. Whatever the “optimal” level of fraud is, it must be north of zero.
Huge problems popped up in Pennsylvania, 250,000 unverified mail order ballots will now delay results.
There are unverified mail ballots in Pennsylvania, but you're number if off by more than a factor of 33. There are only 7,400 unverified ballots in the state. And PA law states anyone who requests a mail ballot gets one. But only verified votes count. Not a big deal at all. There are always some verification needed for mail in ballots every election. The election in PA will be fine.
Definitely cases of voter fraud.
