LSU's roster was completely depleted when Kelly took over. They had less than 40 scholarship players. Where Kelly excelled better than Napier is overhauling his roster through the transfer portal. Napier was more selective and only took a few transfers while not many transferred out at the beginning of the season leaving us tight with schollies. Looks like Napier wanted to evaluate what he actually had this season before the purge this coming offseason.
Kind of unusual young doesn’t seem to have the fire. Smiles a lot when plays don’t work. It’s not funny.

Okay - I have heard their personnel issues were worse than ours but that explains it. I've also heard Napier is putting a lot of emphasis on the transfer portal this December so we are likely looking at a significantly different team next season. If LSU only had 40 scholarship players when Kelly arrived he HAD to raid the transfer portal. They have done a good job getting those guys playing good football.
