It's a QB-WR talent problem coupled with a terrible offense scheme. AR baffles the hell out of me. Like the GA or LSU games, he looks totally lost and defeated. Then suddenly a 70yd QB run for a score, or in that LSU game a 51yd opening pass for a TD. Then he goes totally radio silent. Or like today where he gets the ball and instantly throws it away to the sidelines. Why? But then he had no turnovers and looked commanding at times. Part of it is the talent at the WR position isn't there. Pearsall came in clutch a couple times (miracle he can even walk after the shot he took). Henderson can only do so much. After that it's a steeeeeeeeep drop off in WR talent. Napier runs an outdated pistol offense with 2-3 cycles of Mullen's mediocre recruiting. He's not gonna waste AR, but clearly he's not the QB to run this show. His play calling is bizarre. We have a ten point lead and it's three quick thrown away passes. Why? He could have run the ball even if for no gain and at least shaved 2 minutes off the clock. Etienne is the most underrated player on the team.
We never ran max protect that much to begin with. But, I may have misread your original post. I sometimes get in "scan" mode and miss the intent. Apologies.
Wasn’t sure if it’s the full presser, only 3min or so (first question Edgar normally talks more than that ). Feel free to make a thread on it, please.
OK. If it's not the full press conference . . . besides, I don't like making a bunch of threads. I prefer others do it, except the ones I'm supposed to make.
This... actually should have been the low hanging fruit of expectations plan, all year long. Do no harm... and play to our strengths. Along with low turnovers and all that...
The coaching staff? Or the players? Because we cannot afford to have a coaching training program at the flagship university in the state of Florida. We need PROVEN LEADERS NOW... This ain't no on the job training program... not with that many millions of dollars being paid out.
The players. Coaching staffs across the land are learning on the job with this NIL and transfer portal landscape. We will be fine, my man. The only question mark is Toney, but I think we’ve surrounded him with a lot of experience for it to be fine in the near term.
That's difficult when so many can't keep losses in perspective. It make you feel like you have to restore balance. But I'll be happy until another disaster befalls this team. We may have faced a weakened team today but we beat the crap out of them and have been in every game this season (except one). I keep it in perspective.
Yeah... we will be fine, because we have a talent advantage in the state of Florida. Having said that I really like Napier... but I'm not completely sold on some of his assistant coaches. But, he will figure that out, I am sure about that. He's a smart coach. We do NOT have a talent level commensurate with our record... We have a better talent pool on our team. But it's no longer an issue, we burned this year... and it is what it is. I just hope we can win out. I do like Napier... he is the right man for the job, I just hope he's more like Kirby and less like Mullen with his staff.
