Most of their losses, especially the last four, have been in very close games. Today not close at all. If anything, it should have been a worse. I don't get some not wanting to give Gators any praise at all in the first year of a new system, on the road against a talented team, especially on defense, we put up 41 points and left a lot of points on the field. The whole "max protect, 2-man route" narrative is way exaggerated. Napier O is multiple despite what people keep trying to push out. We don't often have 8 man protect at all. We almost always have a third come out as a check down that has been open nearly every time. I think AR came down to it quickly today and we picked up an easy 8 yards on first down. Hardly ineffective, still we may run it once or maybe twice a game, max.
Sir I am happy Florida won, saw some young guys playing today with some fire in their belly but you cannot discount how handicapped tamu was due to the flu and injuries. If those guys had played then you can only guess the outcome. Dang right I’m glad Florida won because if we become bowl eligible we can sure use the extra practices. But keep the win in perspective

And that’s a battle that we’ve been living with this group of players. And I really can’t compliment the leadership on our staff and the leadership amongst our players enough, relative to the character, the accountability, the brotherhood. Playing the game with a special team dynamic, a certain morale. Just out of respect for the game and the way it should be played. And I think we saw some of that. I think we could’ve easily got frustrated with our defensive performance in the first half, but man, in that locker room, you would never know. It’s really a group that stuck together.
