Our defense is unbelievably frustrating. We have no intensity. At this point, we should just play straight up man coverage. If we get beat, we get beat. Our guys are so far off the receivers it's just pitch and catch for TAMU anyways. At least our guys who come back next year will be more comfortable and maybe challenge some throws.

 

In spirit of trying to laugh my way past the graveyard...we couldn't stop a fat man trying to run up a big ass sand dune. It's unbelievable just how badly we suck, even when AR is playing fairly well. Damn, Billy, take an online course in clock management, read a book - do something new even if it's wrong! Sheesh!

And what exactly do you expect asking our DC stupid questions will accomplish?

 

I don't know what to make of those stats... There's something wrong with coaching in the lowest categories of the NCAA. He should be able to do much better with our rosters. This is not on him and if we don't improve drastically next season then it is on him. He should be embarrassed but I notice he's never accountable for his D's inadequate outings.

 

And what do you propose big mouth? You're not even a Gator so get off the board.

 

9 games in I still can’t figure out what the offense he’s running is. It’s like a pot of mumbo-jumbo, design wise. I think he relies on analytics and group think play calling too much. These end of first half situations are maddening.

 

Here's the thing. Napiers recruiting gave them more superior talent every year, incrementally at UL. So having great athletes let the defense get better compared to their conference talent.
Here at Florida, our competition in the SEC is not going to let us out recruit them by the same margins. We are not going to out-talent LSU, Alabama, Georgia. And even the rest of the SEC, the talent level is enough to hang with you if you aren't coaching it up. The SEC is the Creme de la creme, You have to be good in all phases.

 

Going to have to score 40 or more points to win

 

I'm sure Miss State or Vandy would be thrilled to have him.

 

Patience is what I keep telling myself. If we still suck this bad in 3 or 4 years we can figure out how to retask the swamp.

 

As a default sunshine pumper I am having a really hard time finding anything positive with the defensive play and coaching.
