I hate to make an example out of this post, but this is a classic example of the "holier than thou" demeanor we constantly see from the left these days.

When people say "leftism is a religion" what they really mean is that there is a uniform expectation of adherence to values, like religion. Anyone who does not conform to those values must confess and/or say the right things to indicate that they hold the right values. Anyone who doesn't is a deplorable, a bad person, someone worthy of public mockery and no respect.

This form of zealotry is a much bigger threat to today's America than Christian zealotry, mostly because Christian zealotry is far more rare these days than secular leftist zealotry.

Not saying that you are a zealot, I'm just saying how often do we see secular leftists passing judgment on Christians as though they are devoid of human values, when in reality, they just have different values. That is incredibly common on Too Hot, for one.
