Shep Smith turns in another ratings plunge, sees show canceled (wnd.com) Entertainer/reporter Shepard Smith, who fled Fox News some time ago and recently has been trying to find footing with a show on CNBC, has been cancelled there now. CNBC officials had hoped Smith would be able to keep the crowd that tuned in for Jim Cramer's "Mad Money," but it wasn't happening. Variety said Smith left Fox after clashing with primetime host Tucker Carlson, who disparaged the comments made by a guest on Smith's regular afternoon program. Lol, he sucked anyway, no pun intended
The irony is that of all things going on in this world that someone is this aware of what Shep Smith is doing. Groupie status maybe?
The right wing obsession with ratings and rally crowd size is fascinating. Their early rallying cry for why the election was stolen was that Trump couldn’t have lost because “look at his rally sizes.” Fox News gets lots of ratings, too, I bet you think they’re legitimate news, lol.
The more accurate explanation of why his show is being cancelled. Shepard Smith to Leave CNBC Amid Focus on Business-News - Variety CNBC axes Shepard Smith's news program amid broader 'strategic realignment'
Do you believe everything you read? IF Shep had good ratings they wouldn't have cancelled him. That simple. The rest is BS.
Ratings and the focus of the network are not mutually exclusive, they are in fact closely related. Although ratings were undoubetly a factor the more significant factor and it may have been reflected in the ratings is that most of its viewers do not watch CNBC for the general news, they watch the network for business and financial news and the decision to cancel Shep Smith's show is a response to that reality.
They weren't just a factor, they were the NUMBER 1 Reason. The rest was PR saying his show got cancelled for crap ratings.
