Would they really know what they have after the spring game? We seem to have let Hopper transfer(my impression), so I kind of understand an analysis paralysis on the staff's part, if that's where they were at the time. Word on the street is staff has located a walk on QB named Wayne Peaceout. That's going to turn some heads if his name gets called. I'm in agreement. All of our players deserved a chance under our new staff. I just hope he can cut ties with any of his assistants that may not be able to recruit and coach at the highest level. No idea but unless talent is lacking in a measureable and objective way at a position staff sees a solid two or three deep, and that player is below that level, why force them to leave? I think for the most part it was a gift those who will be processed out got to stay at UF and participate for a season. Well, I hope that's the silver lining.
How exactly does one enter the transfer portal? Is there some online database where you just enter your name and they start throwing nil money at you? Asking for a friend…
There needs to be limits put on it. Hell there needs to be limits put on all of this crap, starting with NIL
They just changed the portal to windows the player has to enter name. But it doesn't stop the player from leaving the team and entering the portal when the window opens. Good luck with NIL. Try to change it and the lawsuits will start flying.
Yeah if they couldn’t/wouldn’t slam a lid on illegal money bags, it’s highly unlikely they’ll even try to put limits on NIL. I can only hope it’s self-correcting in that it’ll surely destroy some teams out of greed and jealousy in the locker rooms
I think it will self correct when teams aren't winning who shelled out millions. Donors will reduce contributions. I think the " spread out the opportunities" will be the long term successful approach.
Exactly. How long will the billionaire in Miami keep throwing millions at kids who flop or transfer out?
I feel that Napier has been talking with Dean and maybe finally getting through to him. We'll see how that goes over the remainder of the season.
I thought 25 was the max per recruiting cycle with an overall max of 85? Am I remembering that wrong? Did it change or was dropped altogether? Did everyone just ignore it since the NCAA doesn’t enforce anything anymore?
There is no 25 limit this year. You can sign as many as you want as long as you are at 85 in the fall
