lol why would it break the locker room? Who on that roster currently deserves a big NIL deal? I dont see NIL being an issue for UGA and their kids
They all think they deserve more money and when one comes in being offered millions all the other players will hold a grudge and team work goes out the window. Georgia has no problems for the most part because there probably isn’t one guy making a million and all the other guys at being paid peanuts.
if they wanna hold a grudge as oppose to going out there and proving they deserve a bigger NIL deal, then they can transfer out. Look at our current NIL structure and the on field results, maybe giving some top end recruits kills will light a fire under em lol
You start buying recruits then your program will turn to crap! You see what Texas A&M is dealing with? That will be Miami soon.
so A&M is the ONLY example you can use? Texas dont seem to have locker room issues and they be getting their kids with big NIL deals too
And still losing. The good teams have been paying all along but they don’t seem to play the social media look at me stuff. Maybe it’s the type of players they go after just as much as the talent.
It’s more like when you get paid to go to bama/UGA, you still actually believe in the team/coaches/schemes because they’re good. The same can’t be said for Miami/A&M, therefore the players only went there for money. So when it gets bad, they waver and eventually bail.
I guess that Texas A&M in Miami have to pony up a little bit more money to get the players to come there
Thats gotta be a factor as well. Bama and UGA doesn’t have* to pay as much as somebody like Miami. I don’t think UF does either. Miami is just beyond desperate, obviously
The high high 4 stars still elevate us much higher than we are now. Then we don’t have to pay as much
Florida Gators want recruits who love the school as much as NIL money Count me in as a guy who likes the way we're building the program. I don't care to play the NIL game like some of our rivals.
100%. Yes, we would like to have him and other top players but rather have 6 talented players than one Uber talent. Who is going to fill the talent gap at the other positions
If we get 20 guys from 50 to 300 or so every year, we will be just fine. There will be first round talent.
We got 10 of the top 50 in Florida and 15 of the top 100. And there may be more to come. We have been in the discussion a bunch with elite talent, which is an improvement. Where we are at, we’re not going to be in discussion for every prospect. But .. Other than Miami B/S, we got beat out for elite in state talent by Ohio State, Bama and Georgia primarily. Which is just going to happen at this point. We are going to have to earn it on the field, as well as possibly with the checkbook. Also throw on those Orange and blue shades for this segment but national ranking out of H/S; etienne 190, OCyrus 1697 and montrell 893, so there are some players out there that don’t cost 5 million.
