I had heard a week or two ago Aranda but we talked about it being silly for him to leave Baylor for the cornfields. Anyway . . .

If not Aranda, think Matt Rhule is a lock?

Nebraska's an all in the past program, and I seriously doubt it will, if ever, be a program that has a major impact on the college football scene again. I mean, they've not been competitive for years, all of their recruiting advantages are gone, and even most of the schools they used to beat up on are superior to them now. They've become a team other programs want to play for homecoming. They play in the weakest division in the Big10 and aren't even competitive there. They are the SCuM of Big 10 football, still think they're relevant.

Very true. With the changes to the college landscape, Nebraska would have to torch their whole program and start from scratch. Their facilities are out-dated and aren't even in any Top 25 ranking.

They are spending $160million on their facility already in construction

They should at least become an elite educational university so that the "N" on their helmets actually does mean "Nolledge".

So now they'll be a sh!thole football program with a state of the art football facility.

May not be enough. More like $500 million to catch up with the Top 25.

They've been a below .500 win percentage in conference since 2014 only ahead of football powers like: Indiana, Purdue, Maryland, Illinois, and Rutgers. When Minnesota and Northwestern are ahead of you, you suck.

That’s been the narrative, but Bo Pelini won 9-10 games every year from 2008-2014. Tennessee was considered in the same boat until this year…geographic disadvantage, no in-state talent to draw from, etc.

I’m not counting them out yet. I can still see them be an Iowa or Wisconsin where they can have pockets of success.

You know, if you give a moron a 160 million dollars, he's still a moron.

Where would you rather live, in Tennessee with beautiful scenery or Nebraska with, what? I can't think of anything attractive that even makes me want to visit.

Those days of hanging 70 or 80 on their little brothers in the old big 8 are LONG GONE.

I agree. It's why I thought that tweet about their goals was so sad and funny:

It's not the end of the world, but you can see it from there. The one time I passed through Neb, the people there seemed friendly. Not a place I would want to live.

Here comes Jon Gruden. Bank It!!!

Nebraska has some real issues. They and Auburn are going to fight for the bottom. Who will win?
