recruits rebelling when promised payments not made, refusing to go to Ukraine

Footage shows Russian recruits mutiny and refuse to be sent to Ukraine (msn.com)

'I came here from Moscow,' said one enlisted reservist in the mutiny, furious that money did not reach his family. 'Because this is the Motherland, and the President appealed to us all.' He declared: 'When I came to the enlistment office, the military commissar told me "As soon as you get there, there will be a one time payment of 300,000 roubles ($4,820) within two, three days…"' The money was meant to go to their families in the impoverished Chuvashia region, but it never arrived. Mobilized men are heard demanding: 'Who fooled us?' Others said, 'Its hopeless' adding: 'Why are we even here?' The female military officer tells them that the promise of an advance payment was in a draft law by the Communist Party, and was not ratified. One recruit hits back: 'They should give back their party IDs and go themselves then…'

LMAO, Son, your dear leader and Mother Russia have one thing in mind for you......

Your death, to achieve Putins goals.

That is your worth. But don't worry, the check is in the mail.

Your Thursday Ukrainian war update. Russia still losing bigly. Nuclear weapon usage is not an option as the US has promised a non nuclear response which would effectively wipe Russian forces off the map in the region.

Today’s question, will Russia try to hold on to Crimea or will they capitulate and sue for peace.

I’m just the guy who notes that the US government is fast running out of Ukrainians to fight its demons with.

I’m doing this while paying taxes to the US government and receiving no compensation from the Kremlin.

Whatever it is that you’re smoking, how long does the buzz persist ?

    Asking for a friend ...

My gut feel is that Crimea will end up as an autonomous region. How long this lasts depends on how soon Putin dies either naturally or unnaturally.

BTW, likening Putin to Hitler isn't just embarrassingly stupid and ahistorical; It also brings us closer to World War III by undermining diplomacy, negotiation and peace.

The fascists and autocrats and oligarchs are coalescing. The GOP openly embraces PUTIN and his elk in Turkey, Hungary and Brazil. It’s a nihilistic cult whose aim is the destruction of democracy and it finds support in among the ranks of poorly educated easily led people. But the damage Russia has done to itself can’t be undone. They are slowly unwinding grinding things down even as they attempt to the same to Ukraine. NATO will hold together.

I agree. He’s a hitler wanna be. The more apt comparison is Stalin. A murderous thug who’s most adept at killing his own countrymen

What does Putin’s elk have to do with anything ?

And the reason the Republicans are lukewarm on funding Ukraine is because they want to divert funds, to Taiwan, so as to pick a fight with China.

Modest proposal: let the Democrats lose to Russia and let the Republicans lose to China.

A good read on why Russia is getting their ass handed to them

Russia is playing this war out according to its playbook. The problem is it’s the wrong playbook.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/11/02/max-boot-russia-military-doctrine-ukraine/

But the Russian military has also done far worse than most analysts expected in part because it was simply not prepared for the kind of war it is fighting. That’s not uncommon in military history. Even so, the best armies adapt on the fly. That’s what the U.S. Army and Marine Corps did during the Iraq War: They had not trained to fight insurgents, but they learned hard lessons and, in 2006, produced a counterinsurgency field manual that contributed to the success of “the surge” in 2007.

The Russian armed forces haven’t shown that kind of ability to improvise. They continue to stick with what isn’t working. The Russian conduct of this war is not only a moral failure but also an intellectual one.

An actual Army Colonel disagrees ...

Far from Russia manically seeking to seize territory, quite the reverse is the case. From Russia’s perspective, why advance, headlong, when the enemy comes to you to be killed ?

Earlier polls were trump followers before they really received how to think on this from trump, tucker, etc. Trump, Carlson are literally spreading Russian propaganda as Russia purposely bomb civilians

“Musk, who thinks of himself as an original and iconoclastic thinker who doesn't bow to authority, is acting as a carrier pigeon for a dictator purposely bombing civilians,"

“They actually taunted him, if you really look at it, our country and our so-called leadership taunted Putin," Trump said. "I would listen, I would say, you know, they're almost forcing him to go in with what they're saying. The rhetoric was so dumb."

Trump did not provide any examples of how the US or President Joe Biden "taunted" Putin or what was the supposedly "dumb" rhetoric.”

Elon Musk, Donald Trump, more help Putin spread Kremlin talking points

What a world we live in when a peace proposal can land you, on a kill list, with a country you’re providing intel to out of your pocket.

Christianity cant be hi-jacked. False Humanized/Americanized Christianity can. But the actual work of Christ isnt fettered by any human failings.

What many that you cite are doing is not the work of a Christian. It is the work of blasphemy. Mixing Christ with the evil that is western politics is unholy.

Our faith should mold our politics. Our politics should not mold our faith.
