It has been my belief that the human race is being prepped to deal with the reality of ET and that we will have contact with alien life in the next 10 +/- years. The rolling "soft disclosure" to the public of intelligent life is one conspiracy theory (perhaps the only major one) that I'm beginning to think might not be that far-fetched. It wouldn't be the first time imaginative content from Hollywood or science fiction has been foreshadowing. If an ET life form has been around as long as some contend, it's possible we've already had contact and are worried about the general public not being able to handle the news just yet. Presumably, an ET life form that reaches out to us would be significantly smarter and advanced than we are so even if we haven't had direct communications, it's possible they already have their minds made up about us and about their intentions toward us. Of course, I guess that might assume that they understand the thousands of languages spoken on Earth, but they'd only need to understand a handful of languages to get a pretty general sense of what's going on here.
The really important question is are we going to allow them to play women’s sports if they choose to identify as female.
