Not a Jimbo fan but he’ll pull out all the stops for this. Billy needs to do the same. Starting 1-5 in the SEC is not what any of us expected and not really something any of us would excuse and say “it’s his first year”. Plenty of talent to win 4-5 sec games. Must win game for Billy.

 

If aTm wins I fully expect some snark from Jimbo about how playing in the sec is tougher than he had it at f$u, except for us. We need a W badly.

These next four games are going to set Florida fans on fire one way or the other.
Does CBN get judged on these remaining games as a success or failure as far as a hiring.
What advantage did Huepel have that Napier didn’t?
Tennessee fans didn’t want Huepel whereas Florida fans did want Napier.
Right now Tennessee seems to be light years ahead of Florida and that fuels the angst among the fans.
Was the talent gap that large?
CBN hasn’t had the extra year but it sure seems there’s a lot of ground to be made up.
I would imagine the portal this year for Florida has got to be huge in order to be competitive next year because recruiting is for the future and there’s a lot of growth, learning and evaluation to do with the recruiting side.
The portal has got to be hugely successful for us.

UcheaT lost a bunch of players but were very active in the portal. Watch what Florida does this year. It will be the wildest year yet for transfers.

UcheaT's defense is bad . . . but they have a once-in-forever (for UcheaT) QB and a couple of good to better WRs.

They can only win like LSU with Burrow, IMO. Out-score everyone. So far it has worked. So far Hooker hasn't been in a very physical game either.

There hasn't been a magical transformation at UcheaT. The stars have just aligned so far this year.

They also have a $Billionaire (Haslam) who is their equivalent to the King of Sleaze for scUM and UcheaT has been cheating since the 1970s . . . so no doubt offering NIL $$$ to commit and sign there.

I agree that a portion of Florida's fanbase, who don't understand the complete rebuilding of a program its roster in the SEC, will scream and tweet and post negativity if Florida doesn't finish 2-2 . . . and then maybe even if they do that.

However, it may not be long before we see some changes . . . starting last Sunday with the dismissal of Cox.

Heupel is Mullen IMO. Great offensive mind but it won’t be sustainable. It’s lightning in the bottle: 2019 LSU and Burrow. Look at the teams that are consistently in the playoffs and winning. Line of Scrimmage. It could have been UF in 2020 with a better defense.
