The glaring problem I see with that assessment is the fact that AR seems to struggle just as much with the short/quick routes as he does with the deep, slower developing routes. IMHO, he may actually be better at the deep routes than he is on quick slants or other quick read/throw type plays. The lack of touch/velocity control he has displayed on several occasions is on him - not the coaches. Although I don't necessarily take everything that Shane says as gospel, and I too find him quite annoying at times, when he's right he's right.

I mostly agree with you. We need to vastly improve at wide receiver, and that may be what is completely impeding AR's development this year. I recall the Oklahoma game when all four starting receiver's didn't play--three receiver's sat out and one was sick. Kyle Trask didn't look like a Heisman candidate at all!

And then THE question is not asked:

"Coach, do you know what is the definition of insanity?"

If this is about playcall, spot-on.

If this is in regard to AR, almost every QB started off as a not-so-great QB.

The AR excuse just doesn’t fly with me anymore. He’s been in a college system for three years. He’s had a private quarterback whisperer since high school. He’s had everyday all summer and fall to work with the receivers. If he hasn’t gotten it by now he never will.

So besides listening to Shane, you get e-mails from AR's camp telling you his future plans? Impressive!

An offense is only as good as the quarterback is as a passer and he isn’t improving. He may yet in the future but this season has not showing anything

No. Not at all. You claim you know conclusively, because you were sent a direct e-mail, which you have kept in a top-secret folder, and won't share except some time in the future, even though you will never share the sender's name, saying that AR will not be at Florida next year. Conclusively. Absolutely. That would have to have come from either AR himself or someone such as his QB coach (who AR told directly).

I said "impressive" sarcastically since I don't believe you and apparently neither does anyone else.

This used to be called a WAG.

Sadly that’s a bread and butter HS pass there. Shocked he missed it.

If AR doesn't leave for the draft, there is no way anyone currently on the roster is beating him out for the job in the spring.

Stronger than I would say, but you are on the right track. If AR isn't doing what Napier thinks he needs to do, and he has options, why not try Plan B? It isn't like he is selling his house and the new owner isn't going to sell it back to him afterwards.

Well, he (or she) saw it on the internet and so it MUST be correct.

Well, he (or she) TYPED it on the internet, but that is beside the point. It IS on the internet!

You can disagree with what a poster respectfully brought to the board without being an unmitigated jerk about it. Sheesh.

I am not sure this young man is our answer. I agree that the competitive fire is not there. He wilts when challenged and acts like he does not like to take a hit. He has great athletic skills, but athleticism does not necessarily mean he is a leader or a quarterback, as much as his coach and we would like him to be! I hope I am wrong!

Receiver's dropping passes has been a problem, but as I have reflected on this more, AR has been more inconsistent. That is, he is off-target with wide-open receiver's and other times he is spot on!

AR leaving for the draft is a joke right?
