Very hard to understand why UF has not had better qbs in the last 10 years. I watch so many college teams on tv and constantly see really good qbs play even from smaller school teams. And here with are with an unproven qb, that gets hurt often, and backed up by someone whom the HC doesn't seem to have confidence in playing him. Just hard to understand

Man... if we can just get him to commit us now... that 2024 team would get blown up in a hurry.

We gave been fascinated with dual threat qbs and seemingly take any that will come even if they have "raw passing skills"...

Give me an offense lead by barely mobile Trask any day and I will be happy. Imagine having a vertical attack again!!!

No kidding. Get a guy that is an elite passer first. If he runs like Bolt, that’s fine too but no project arms.

Why not get more than one QB in 2024?

Looks great for us. Down to Clemson and Florida so we should expect him to sign with Miami!

    Just kidding. Don't shoot!

Agreed. He would be a class leader along with Graham and somebody else Florida already has committed for '24 who is highly ranked. Sorry I can't remember all the new names. LOL! :)

Here are the most recent stats available for the next great Gator QB (I hope):

    Passing
    C-134 A-200 Y-2081 C%-.670 YPC-15.5 YPG-260.1 ACG-16.8 TD-24 TDG-3.0 INT-5 LNG-53 QBR-130.4

    Rushing
    C-50 Y-517 AYC-10.3 APG-64.6 LNG 75 TD-7

    Total O-2598 ATOG-324.75 TTDS-32

As a side note, his 67% comp. avg. for his jr. season is up from 55.5 as a sophomore. Will Miles can bite me with the C% never improves stuff.

We don't have a solid recent track record of developing QBs and if I were a young QB, his HS coach, or a recruiter from another school, that's what would be my concern, or talking point. Hope we get him. But that's still two seasons from now, at best. It's 50/50 that he pans out, as it is for almost all other QBs. How many high four and five stars has georgia processed in the past four seasons? We need a QB now, or by next season.

Does anyone know if we are pursuing the other miami QB? I thought we might have been briefly, and some on the board thought he was a solid underrated prospect.

"We" have nothing to do with any history one way or the other. It's a different regime. We are not connected to any prior history just because the name of the school or colors of the uniform. "We" have also put an ass load of guys into the NFL especially considering the state of the program the past decade. At least a tear or two ago we only trailed Bama and a couple others I believe especially given percentage of players since our roster sizes were down many years.

    Clean slate

Well, not really, because there are other staffs recruiting against us. When we are competing against Clemson, bama, georgia, they can all say the same things about player development. And it's one thing to put nearly as many players in the NFL as bama, but quite another if yours are third or fourth round or UFEs while bama's are first and second. And then there's the on-field play and in-game coaching decisions. Of course, I realize that if bama's roster is full of NFL talent because of recruiting, they will look great in the drafts. That cycle perpetuates itself. But in order for us to land talent, staff has to look good, the team has to look developed and coordinated, and we have to pony up some dough. Lets hope these final four games help our staff make their case.
