If they're lobbying the government to prevent other doctors from offering gender-affirming care, yes. If they're simply making their own choices and letting other people lives their lives, no.

 

Castrating young boys is beyond sick.

 

Yes it is and it virtually never happens. Under the standards of care for transgender teens genital surgery is not supposed to be performed on kids under the age of 18 and with while there have been extremely rare exceptions it almost never happens and even in those extremely instances the patients are between the ages of 16 and 18, not exactly "young boys".

It's not medical care. If they need real mental care that is one thing, but no one under the age of 18 should be castrated chemically or have any type of surgery. Once they are 18 if they want it and can afford it then have it done. We can't have mentally unstable so called doctors making decisions for these kids. It's evil.

 

Mentally unstable doctors? What are your credentials to be able to make this call? And what are you credentials to call into question the standard of care advocated by professional organizations like the American Pediatrics Society and American Psychological Association?

Someone please correct me if I am misunderstanding this, but it seems Florida isn't just working to ban hormones and surgery for minors - something I think a lot of folks would be very concerned about. Rather, Florida apparently passed a rule denying Medicaid benefits to adults for those treatments as well. The rule seems to indicate that such treatments can never be medically necessary under any condition. If my understanding is inaccurate, this is about a lot more than the concern about minors having surgeries - though I understand why that's a cleaner and easier argument.
