TOS claiming AR is gone next year as well. Unless the same poster is the one spreading the info here.
I hate to say it because I think he's good kid, but that's probably a good thing. I think the offense is limited because of AR. He's the best athlete on the field, but he can't throw.
If he has a "camp" that is in his ear then I agree with you. Sounds like his personal qb coach and others aren't happy with the offense. If AR wants to be here next year then I'm all for seeing what another year in the same system could do for him. He's no Joe burrow but Joe burrow made a massive leap in his 2nd year at lsu. Of course he had NFL recievers running backs and tight ends to gel with but the point remains.
that's great. why doesn't he run more? I wonder how many 1st downs he's picked up with his feet. I don't think it's many.
If you missed it, we've been wondering the same thing for weeks. The AR who could take off for 75 yards doesn't come around much anymore.
In general, I like AR. He can make incredible plays one minute, then bone headed plays the next. His runs can be on highlight films, then he makes passes that make you wonder what he was thinking. However, I get somewhat miffed when posters continue to mention that this is his first year starting and that’s why he doesn’t play well. Last year was Bryce Young’s first year starting and he won the Heisman, so being a first year starter doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t play well. I would guess there are other quarterbacks out there in their first year who are playing very well now. If he could be consistent, then that would be something you could write home about. Let’s hope the light turns on soon.
Yes, many of the defensive players don't seem to have a very high football IQ. And I'm wondering if that's the problem with AR, or does he need more games under his belt?
If an anonymous poster has emails and rumors are spreading, I would think the coaches are aware as well. I wonder if that means we will play others at the QB position.
I think some teams have realized the best way to slow down AR is with low cheap shots, especially in the first quarter when refs won't call it.
Every game seems to include a handful of accurate passes that are just too "hot" for otherwise capable receivers. Arm strength is great until it causes drops. Coach up finesse, a softer touch to the short/mid distance passes.
That's what I'm thinking. If it's so well known he's leaving I cannot see the staff continuing to start him.
I don't know why he doesn't run more.....he is either being coached to run less or he is doing that of his own accord. Your guess is as good as mine. It doesn't matter, though, the result is the same.
Think AR is in his own head trying to up his draft stock. He is thinking vs playing. Who knows if it is his private qb coach, CBN or just self imposed thoughts
No, but when your first year starting is at Alabama, things are a lot easier. I think we have to be honest with ourselves about the state of Florida football. We can't compare ourselves to most of the SEC, much less Alabama at this juncture. There is a near-total rebuild in order.
