"uncensored suppressed" Isn't that a contradiction?

This is patently ridiculous. How would anyone know what Elon is going to do to change Twitter five years from now? He’s not going to make his blueprint public. He’s earned the right to have time to make it into something better, given his track record with Tesla and SpaceX. And as for the “fanboy” talk, Jack Dorsey himself has stated all along if anyone can remake Twitter, it’s Elon Musk. I can’t imagine it gets much better than that in terms of endorsements. I’ll take Dorsey’s blessing and Elon’s resume 24/7/365 over jealous internet poster.

Just because you know how to regurgitate a false media narrative doesn’t make me wrong. I prefer to evaluate this in a more sane manner. Ultra-successful, self-made multibillionaires don’t enter $44 billion takeover deals for fun or to stroke their egos. I know that’s what you believe the media has confirmed for you, but the media has no clue what Elon’s intentions are and given his past, should probably conclude he has some concrete ideas on what he can do to improve Twitter. It’s pretty naive to think he just did this for his own amusement.

Yep, gotta love how certain posters think they can armchair quarterback a multi-billion dollar tech company from THFSG. The hubris is off the charts.

He stated himself that he bought them because he wanted to free up free speech on the platform and reduce the number of fake accounts.

Twitter was a cesspool before Musk. Twitter will continue to be a cesspool with Musk. Twitter will be a cesspool after Musk sells.

He has every right to try given that he took on massive debt to do so. But I have every right to not turn off my brain for five years and evaluate what he is doing.

Haha, that is some good fanboying. Strange that apparently Musk didn't even reveal this master plan though to Dorsey, given that their text messages came out in court.

Funny story: I actually have more experience in that domain than Musk does. Of course, that is hardly a high bar to jump over as millions more can make that claim.

Ok, well those are very basic premises he's starting off with, but that's not his entire plan, lol. Based on his firing the board, I'd say we're looking at 2 to 3 years of rebuilding culture and mindset before any hardcore, tangible developments are implemented. Maybe sooner, but these things take time. I don't for a second believe Elon paid all this money thinking he would re-invent Twitter on Day One. Takes time..

Yeah... just because I won't take random internet hater's assessment over the guy who created Twitter from nothing and the guy who created Telsa and SpaceX from nothing doesn't make me a "fanboy". It makes me not stupid enough to believe random internet hater who is just regurgitating media talking points. (ie said internet hater doesn't have intimate knowledge of the situation behind the scenes).

Yeah, no thanks. He is welcome to pay my consulting rate though. He clearly needs some help, given that he is apparently pretending that his engineers from Tesla, a publicly-traded company, are his personal employees and bringing them to a business not owned by his shareholders in Tesla.

Lol, I'm a "hater" now. Okay. Sure buddy. Heck, I was the one who actually vaguely defended his idea to charge for verification status (which isn't on its face a bad idea, although doing it without any sort of marketing research likely is). I comment on the ideas. The fact that he has had a series of bad ones involving Twitter doesn't mean I care at all about the person.

What are his series of "bad ones involving Twitter?" Keeping in mind: #1 Twitter has been struggling since before Elon became serious about buying it; #2: he's only been CEO for a few days and it's impossible to rate his performance based on a few days.

Free speech has always had its inherent negatives. Free speech has always allowed unsavory figures to voice their opinions. So, if we're counting his "free speech" mantra as a bad idea, first... give it more than a few days, give it more like years, second, true "free speech" will always have consequences. As to whether or not it will hurt or hinder Twitter in the next few years, my money is on that it won't, because Twitter has already been a playground for all sorts of unsavory content and characters. He's still going to moderate out violent, overtly racist content. He is creating a board of counselors on that very thing.

In any event, no different than the football coach, you're going to have to give it a couple years at least to being able to fairly evaluate his performance. Doing so in the first few days, while completely ignoring how big a failure Twitter was in the condition it was bought, is just being ridiculous and unfair. That's the definition of being a hater. The guy sends rockets into space, has donated millions upon millions in satellite technology to Ukraine and developed the Tesla. He gets a couple years at the very least before anyone can objectively write off his Twitter acquisition.
