If Plank is an indicator furries may be the new obsession with the religious right up there with trans kids and drag queens . I think we can all concede that there is a furry subculture and that some furries get off sexually by dressing in fur suits. We can also agree that there are teenage furries and that on extremely rare occasions an extremely small number of them may actually wear their fur suits to school. That being said the notion that schools are providing litter boxes for furries ranks right up there with Marjorie Taylor Greene's Jewish Space Lasers and the conspiracy theory that Hillary Clinton was running a pedophile ring out of a DC pizzeria.

I expect Desantis to call a special session to have this banned from schools

I hope so. I hate that my school tax dollars are buying kitty litter.

You brought up the analogy to a court of law here. And hearsay isn't just a thing in criminal law. Basically the same for a small dollar breach of contract case. If Billy Napier said we had a silent commit, he would have personal knowledge about that and could testify about it himself. We could also ask the player if it's true. There would probably be documents that would establish the fact as well.

Here, you are telling us what someone you know told you about what he saw others doing. I'm not saying your friend is lying. I'm not saying that you're lying either. But we're talking about something that is purportedly widespread in public schools and being catered to or even promoted by schools. If that were the case, I think we'd have more than second or third hand anecdotes. That said, I won't go so far as to say it's never happened. It's a big country with lots of interesting people. And young people do weird things like cutting their jeans up. I have no doubt there are kids with cat ears; I'm not sure that necessarily makes them furries. In any event, even assuming there are anecdotes which could be established, that seems like a really low bar for anyone to suggest this this is some sort of sicko stuff that is being pushed by public schools as a matter of course.

    That’s what I was thinking.

Assuming this person wasn’t pulling planks leg to mess with him (something we have to see as a distinct possibility), the most likely thing is some kid was wearing cat ears and they are using a very loose definition for “furries”. Pretty much everyone has probably seen someone wearing cat ears or some funny hat at one time or another, even outside Halloween.

A far cry from “kids pooping in the litter box” conspiracy theory being pushed upon the insanity cult.

Actually…this is happening in our local high school. A teacher recently told me a bunch of kids had taken up cat personas. Fortunately they don’t accommodate these idiots.

If you have 20-30 cats and no man you probably don’t think it unusual but this is highly unusual behavior for most of the world.

Personally, I'm more of a dog person. But cats are one of the most popular things on the internet, particularly in America, Western Europe and Japan. Apparently, the Japanese especially love cats. Maybe that's become a fad here too, I dunno. When I was a kid, I thought I was the Incredible Hulk, so who knows. But most of this furry paranoia seems to me like it's people who think it's part of sexual grooming of some sort. I really doubt kids in public schools are at any more risk of being groomed or abused than kids who spend time with their church leaders. You know, the guys who probably have a wife, dog, and kids at home.

Your comment about cat women without a man is right out of the Matt Gaetz playbook. You're not in good company there.

Another "this guy told me" story ... Since every high schooler has a video camera glued to their palm, you'd think there would be some evidence of all these things that "someone told you".

Sorry, don't like cats and have been married for 36 years. Nobody is doing this, don't be so stupid.

Believe what you like but it’s a thing. It’s not like I asked him how many weirdos dressed up as cats. We just happened to have this conversation when talking about weird kids and homecoming clubs. Frankly I’d expect this kind of behavior out west but was shocked to hear about it at a local high school in the panhandle. They even have a cat person club. I can see if they are taking new members if you like.

This is NOT happening no matter how badly you want to believe it. I am in a high school every single day and other than kids dressing up for Homecoming this isn't a thing. Perhaps there is an anime club and your "friend" is confused.

He probably heard about it from a guy, but hasn't seen it himself, yet. You really think there are furry clubs in schools, and somehow OAN doesn't have the "shocking video"?

LMAO at every board conservative having the same exact fake second-hand conversation about kids dressing up like cats.
