Yep and I wasn’t rah rah when he was hired. I was critical of of some of his decisions as well. But he won a MNC as an OC and had his O win another.
He wasn’t fired by sweeney and had coached a P5 team of a decade.

Didn’t venture over here much as there is little discussion.

You’re either a fan boy or a hater.

    Things haven’t changed.

You obviously weren't around here in 2018 and 2019 then.

I was, sure his offense was nice, but overall what did he accomplish. What was his overall record against ranked teams? He clearly wasn't capable of sustaining it.

With the benefit of hindsight, not nearly as much as we wanted and he might have left the program worse off than when he found it.

But my point is that in 2018 and 2019 that wasn't apparent and after McElwain's terrible Offenses it was a breath of fresh air. People on this board were walking on clouds back then...and any negative post toward Mullen during those two years would have faced ridicule on this board.

It seems its just a matter of perspective isn't it?

What he accomplished as an OC has more to do with Meyer than him. Meyer won another title without Mullen.

Mullen had every opportunity to build something at UF. He didn't. No one will question his ability to design/call an offense. That's not why he was fired.

Napier. There is no way to know how it will turn out. Are there some question marks, sure. Just as there were with Mullen. But I'm willing to wait and see until I start criticizing every decision. I did the same with the last 3.

It was smoke and mirrors is my point. Many that were pointing out some of the underlying issues were getting blasted whenever it was brought up. Mainly recruiting and how he fared against ranked teams. If you really dig into it, it wasn't that impressive. Mac took that terrible offense to Atlanta twice and had a hell of a recruiting class lined up before he melted down. They both were horrible fits for UF IMO.

No, the point is, they were immediately tossed. Man, you don't let the facts get in the way of your opinions.

I agree. He only makes moronic troll posts. Constantly argues his point in spite of facts showing his opinions are wrong, and he doesn't know the difference between opinion and informed opinion.

Are you insinuating that we should wait until he cuts up a teammate before disciplinary action should be taken? Do you have inside info on what transpired to cause him to be dismissed? If so, let us know what they are. If not... This isn't the first school that he had issues at.

The way James talks so highly about him on the GNFP, you’d think Cox reached out to him or something. He’s not complimentary of anyone else on the defense.

As a 5-star recruit, whose goal is to play on Sundays- this may have been a decision that Cox did not seriously contest. Why risk injury on a team going nowhere and with a Defense in complete disarray. He's a 6'3" 252 lb edge guy with quickness and good instincts- his potential is there and the pros will have noticed. Playing at UF during a turbulent period for the D and leadership turnover can't be easy. Start working all out prepping for the Combine and turn the page on college career- a college experience that did not fully prepare him for the next step. Wish him the best.
NOTE: he was encouraged to leave UGA because of a marijuana infraction- imagine that a 19 year old college kid smoking dope!
