One other general point - as with every election, conservative pollsters carpet bomb the competitive states with polls favorable for the conservatives - Rassmussen, insider advantage, Trafalgar etc.
538 uses their final poll in their analysis of how accurate these pollsters are. So sometimes games are played where they will exaggerate their party’s strength but come back in line in the final week to keep their solid rating. See if those polls change in the final week. If not, then it’s a true belief that they have it right.

Maybe, we will see. I’ve spelled out above why I think it could happen (or the exact opposite could happen). But “PA polls always over value dems” isn’t it.
Would also love to see a few polls from a few days after the debate after the news cycles have sunk in, which we haven’t gotten yet. That will tell a lot.

 

Well sure. Oz demonstrated himself to be a competent politician. Fetterman was lost. One thing that is for sure is the if Oz and Walker win, Biden will be a lame dick. He ain’t gonna get nothin through.

 

I agree with @oragator1. A result happened in the past and therefore will happen in the future isn’t necessarily a valid induction. Unfortunately, the universe is chaotic. If the world were as well behaved as you describe, virtually everyone would already agree that Fetterman is ahead.

 

This, I think, is a fairly sure bet, though I view the current lack of any incentive to compromise as much more as a bug than a feature.
