Hambrick continue having problems after he left UF and his career in the NFL was curtailed by issues even though he played well, then followed by more problems post NFL. His brother had similar issues, too.

Some people giving kudos on a nice mature message….

He says he was shocked, and claimed to always do the right thing in that message, lightly implied that maybe he’s misunderstood.

But he took zero accountability for anything that got him to this point … two programs, two dismissals, for a guy that will play on Sundays.

I’m going to trust the judgment of the adults that sent him packing twice.

It wasn't uncommon to see Cox calling out other players on the field. If the reported grading out is correct (9th on d, which is not a good look for someone who got as many snaps as he did), it is not a stretch to think Cox may have been the one out of position in some of those cases.

If I had to guess, coaches may have graded for Saturday and, given his trend for the year, let him know he would see reduced snaps. I imagine he did not take it too well. Yea, that is pure conjecture but if BN isn't giving me a reason, I'll make one up.

Oddly, he's a lot like the AR of the Defense in that there were a few "wow" plays with a bunch of "meh" and more than a few "whiskey tango foxtrot is he doing?" plays.

He may have approved that message but don't think he actually wrote it.

Hopefully the next guy up can seal off the edge and stop letting guys run right by him.

Omg. I didn’t see him do anything after Jawjaw scored. They must have their reasons. :(

    I will say this:
Played the game (defensive end at Florida).
Been watching Florida Football since 1966.
NEVER have I seen in over 55 years where our defense has lost the edge more as I have in the last three years.
    Nuff said.

Or BN decided he did not like Cox and decide to lay down the law and make an example of him.
Coaches aren’t Gods and to just blindly agree with little facts as a show of support is childish.

I’ll ask if any of the recent coaches had done this with a player who by all reports had not had any disciplinary issues the whole time he had been at UF would you be so supportive?

The idea that many are so thrilled and that this means Napier is gonna run a tight program and that will lead to greatness is very puzzling to me.

In retrospect the culture under Meyer wasn’t so great except for the winning

Point is it was a huge issue and they weren’t tossed right off. One guy wound up in the hospital.

Cox cut up any teammates that we are unaware of?

    Not details.
    Lots of conjecture.

    “have to trust the process”
Napier must have done it for good reason and it means he’s one step closer to UF being great again( that’s a synopsis from the guys hoping it means Napier will be great).

No it’s my incessant desire for evidence and facts before I get all hard for a guy who can run a presser.

So far the evidence is that the Defense is worse than ever, the play calling is pedestrian, the scheme is HS level or lower. The coaches resumes are thin at best.

This isn’t a coaching staff that’s really won anything anywhere.

Sorry I’m not all a twitter over BN.

As I’ve said before hope I’m very wrong and want UF to beat everyone by 50. (Not expecting that this year)
But there is plenty of on field decisions that should make anyone with some knowledge of football pause and scratch their heads.

I smell Muschamp 2.0 without any of the P5 experience.

I dont think you have to pick a side here. Ive certainly seen athletes passion for winning get the best of them time and time again. The fact that he wrote such a mature response tells me BN handled this whole situation very maturely as well. Cause if the head coach lost his cool with him I dont think you get that response from Cox.
