From reading the tea leaves (the press report of this item), I get the impression that The UF coaches and Cox did not see eye to eye on at least one if not more issues. When you see phrases like "We did everything we could" and "For the best interest of the team", you can guess that Cox was testing the limits of the coaches and the coaches reached their breaking point. Cox was most likely dismissed before this issue became a distraction to the players. I am not taking sides on this item. For all we know both sides could be in the right or only one side is. I wish Cox the best of luck as he hits the Portal.

I haven't had a soft drink in years. So, no denial, and don't be so pretentious.

When I got together with my cousins, we would 'borrow' my uncles playboys. The one with Ursula Andress coming out of the water with a bikini imprinted a lasting impression in my brain. I was 12-13 at the time, and the photos of her in that magazine were my first 'love'.

Signs emerge of players questioning coaching decisions and schemes. Cox is no kid- he's a man that's played under three HCs and he must have not fully toed the line and questioned schemes. Napier trying to damp down dissent before it spreads- Trey Dean tweet suggests that Cox may not be alone in how they view the coaching and game preps.

Yeah, these kids were all so accomplished on D prior to this year that they've earned the right to complain.

The D players have been poorly coached during their time at UF - and it's a disgrace. First Grantham and now under Toney and a new system- that may be worse- which is hard to believe. I would wager that Cox Jr will play on Sundays.

He tweeted that he's entering the NFL draft now that he's no longer on the team, but thanked Gator Nation et al...

Kirby Smart kicked him off his team. Let that sink in.

The mental gymnastics people go through to find ways to shit on the current staff. It’s amazing.

That is clearly not the reason for his dismissal. There wasn’t even a flag thrown.

Word around the water cooler back then was Cox argued with coaches, film of him arguing and physically fighting with the more senior Dawgs trying to teach him and became a general cancer in the locker room. Was a “me” not “we” guy.

Or they can kick rocks too. Trey Dean, of all people, shouldn't draw any unwanted attention to himself after how he's performed in the O&B over the years.
