    Tough week. First I learned that earwax can cause dementia and memory loss and using Q-Tips only makes it worse. Now this.

    Just wait another month. The medical "experts" will say that picking your nose prevents certain forms of cancer.

    All these studies - let's just say we can't pin down for sure what causes dementia. I sure as shit wish we could. Both of my grandmothers have it right now and it sucks.

    I can say this. Even though both grandmothers showed signs of dementia for a couple years now, within the last six months both have fallen and hit their heads - one on a tile floor and one on a tree root - and the dementia has accelerated exponentially.

    I think a massive heart attack at 80 is WAAAAY more merciful than dementia onset at 90

    I think the Navage people are behind this. Lots of radio ads asking people how they're cleaning their noses and selling an irrigation system. Maybe the Kleenex people can counter, but people do love gadgets.
