What happens discipline wise within a team isn't our business, unless they get arrested which is then public record. Those kids do have a right to privacy. And on top of it, why is it any of your business? The things you list are a choice you make, and you're not forced to do those things.

Curious how can you commend a coach without have really ANY details on what led to this?
Coaches have never made errors in judgment when it comes to players :)....

Personally, I'm not going to second guess CBN in matters of team discipline or the timing thereof. In fact, I actually respect him more for dealing with a problem decisively as opposed to letting things fester. The old saw that goes something like "That which must be done eventually, should be done immediately" applies nicely.

Can't for sure. Though when I look at the body of evidence we have on BC jr and the evidence we have on CBN, I'm good with this not so bold take.

Respectfully, I'm curious as to how you can criticize (by implication at least) a coach for taking decisive action in a "cumulative" situation, the details of which none of us is privy to. I'm not trying to be snarky but if CBN thought it was time to cut a talented (if underperforming) player lose, he must have had a pretty good reason.

It rarely works to keep problem children around. Or make them team captain. Sooner or later the shoe drops

Just my innate curiosity, I guess. No, it wouldn't change anything to know, but, I feel like we shouldn't be all-in when the palms are out, only to be told we're all-out when trouble arises. I know you have the education background, so, you're probably a better judge of these things than I... so I'll defer. And, yes, I think that underlying bad attitude is usually the root of cumulative problems.

In related news, who gets the #1 jersey? Could it be this year?

    Old, OLD recollection.

When I lived in Brunswick a LONG time ago, we shopped at the Sears occasionally. They were trying to sell Dr. Pepper by heating it up like a tea and putting it in small cups.

Hot Dr. Pepper. Anyone remember this?

It isn't the wondering that I responded to. It was the attitude of entitlement you seem to have because you spend money to support the team. I understand your curiousity, as I'm curious as well. But thru the decades that my family had season tickets, we never felt entitled to something that we freely chose to participate in.

I believe you that its an OLD recollection because that Sears has been gone for a very, very LONG time.

I'll bet that location closed 40 or so years ago...way before the rest of the Sears closed. It wasn't much bigger than a catalog store anyway!

Does it have to do with lingerie? I have, um, confiscated them plenty of times.

No, I'm thinking back to when I was a kid and would study the toy section, casually leaving the catalog open on the page where something I wanted was on. Same with the Penney's and Spiegel catalogs. Back then the thought that those stores would disappear never entered anyone's thinking.

I lived there is the early 60s.

That still does not change the fact that you just stopped booping in your diapers.

Well, I guess I am now beginning to boop in mine, but that is beside the point.
