An incredibly stupid decision by someone who is admittedly very bright. While Twitter or for that matter any other social media platform shouldn't be considered a legitimate source of news Musk is on his way to destroying any legitimacy that the platform may have had prior to his takeover. I would also add that when any high profile person and and especially one of Musk's statute retweets a post originated by someone else he or she owns that post. By retweeting or sharing a link Musk has in effect given absurd conspiracy theory credibility even if he suggested that it was just a possibility.

RP stated that he doesn’t know who the male is but he advised that his name is David and that he is a friend.” by police chief: At a Friday press conference Police Chief Bill Scott told reporters that when responding officers knocked on the front door, the door was opened by “someone inside” and that officers observed Paul Pelosi and David DePape wrestling over a hammer. The officers did not enter the home, instead they ordered the two men to drop the hammer and that DePape then took control of the hammer and beat Pelosi with it. Yeah. I understand the two sides posturing about whether the attack was politically-motivated, particularly given that the midterms are next week. But the gay angle seems really odd based upon what has been reported.
The Pelosi residence is located in San Francisco's Pacific Heights neighborhood. Residents of the neighborhood's multimillion dollar homes have private security, but is NOT a gated community. Here is a video view of the Pelosi's home. Mrs. Pelosi's private security was with her and not in the residence the night of the attack. Pelosi is reported to have spoken "in code" to the 911 dispatcher, and it was a transcript from responding police reporting Pelosi referred to Depape as a "friend." The invasion of the Pelosi's home and the brutal attack was perpetrated by someone who was most certainly not a 'friend.' Trash video interviewing a person who knows little to nothing about her bizarre neighbors. All accounts I've read indicate Depape is no way a "gay" nudist. If you want to be taken seriously, get your facts right.

If Nancy were to tell DEPAPE the “truth,” he would let her go, and if she “lied,” he was going to break “her kneecaps.” DEPAPE was certain that Nancy would not have told the “truth.” In the course of the interview, DEPAPE articulated he viewed Nancy as the “leader of the pack” of lies told by the Democratic Party. DEPAPE also later explained that by breaking Nancy’s kneecaps, she would then have to be wheeled into Congress, which would show other Members of Congress there were consequences to actions. DEPAPE also explained generally that he wanted to use Nancy to lure another individual to DEPAPE. b. DEPAPE stated that he broke into the house through a glass door, which was a difficult task that required the use of a hammer. DEPAPE stated that Pelosi was in bed and appeared surprised by DEPAPE.
