That’s my hope, too. Believe me. I am thoroughly enjoying it every time Russia gets embarrassed and duggers has to say how they meant to do that or references Ghost of Kyiv like it’s edgy. But while wars not won by mathematicians, all of the numbers remain on Russia’s side in a war of attrition, particularly as Russia escalates its involvement and the West does not. Unless the Revolution strikes down Putin before the end of winter (and I’m not betting that way), the odds suggest Ukraine will get exhausted first and have to cede Russia a strategic victory.

I strongly disagree. Russia is fighting a two front war. One in the Ukraine and they aren’t doing well and the other is a war of succession.

I agree that’s the most favorable outcome, and we should all hope and pray for that. But our government gets paid to do more than hope (our present strategy), and it should be making preparations for more dangerous outcomes. It is not.

horseshit in a lot of ways. What alliances? They’re picking up mercenaries. No alliances.

You’re seemingly impervious to facts. Not only are the Russians not fighting alone, they entered into theatre in support of local militias. But by alliances I’m noting the larger trend of support from China, Iran, etc., militarily and economically. Hell, much of the world despises the US and view Russia as a middle finger.

No one said the Admiral Makarov sank.
And no, the first flagship that sank was the Moskva. Remember how Russia let that happen on purpose?

Incorrect, there were earlier widespread reports of the Makarov sinking.

Having a point a view and invading a neighbor's house are two different things. I feel sorry for anyone too ignorant to understand the difference.

You were tied in knots when the US staged home invasions in 2003 weren’t you ?

no one has sent troops. They are fighting a smaller inferior opponent with western supplies and sacrificing their entire modern army to do so. If the plan from the west was to weaken Russia and end reliance on Russian energy sources mission accomplished.

If the plan was to end reliance on Russian energy sources why was it effing necessary to ruin a country (Ukraine) and, ironically, strengthen Putin and Russia’s hand in doing so ?

Not shocked nobody has responded to your facts. You laid it out much more eloquently than I ever could.
