You folks know all these posts about this guy does nothing but make Gator Fans look bad right?
    He’s a kid…..let it rest.
He’s not the only defensive back in the nation.

It's not about him... it's about money in amateur athletics.

He didn't pull an Anquan on us and do it on signing day, when we didn't have time to get another D back. Nobody likes to lose recruits, but in this case best to let this go. Who knows, maybe CBN gets him back. He can burn bridges, but we as fans shouldn't, until the fat lady sings.

Meh if he’s not going to UF it seems like a victory if he’s not going to a SEC school.

Agree but 2024 against Miami needs to be a statement game. Not necessarily about McClain but between the programs as Miami has been getting the best of us in recruiting for the moment. We do play them and I'm not sure the timing is good with our qb situation as we will likely be transitioning to a new one by then

All fair points but to me this biggest challenge in CFB is the stacking of all the talent at 5 schools. Anything that breaks the logjam at UGA, Alabama, OSU, LSU, and Clemson is a victory in that regard. The top schools simply have too much talent for the rest of us to compete.

If its a qb with years of eligibility left that's fine but even if Miller steps in and plays well he could be gone the following year as well. Point is we need to get our qb sucession figured out asap.

If AR enters the draft, which frankly seems unlikely to me at this point, we'll definitely see less physical talent at QB one way or the other. But Kitna, Miller and Brown all appear to have the potential to become reasonably capable replacements - pending the arrival of the superstar from TX we hope to land in '24. Just for the heck of it, I went back and looked at Max Brown's hudl clips and came away surprised and impressed at the young man's arm talent. His accuracy (73%) is not based on dump-offs near the LOS either. The kid throws with plenty of velocity, nice touch and can flat out spin it down field. How this guy was a two star on rivals and a low three star on 24/7 flummoxes the hell out of me.

Yeah . . . a former poster was promoting Max Brown so much we thought it was Brown's dad or agent. However, removing the problem with replacing AR in Game 2 with Brown, which is where he lost a lot of us, Brown's stats are very impressive. I'm glad we got him and after putting on a little size in the weightroom, if he still throws as well and can run servicably he might be a real dark horse in the future.

The problem here isn’t this kid in particular, it’s that he is a microcosm of our failure to land top-end kids over the last decade. This is why fans are so frustrated.

Why is he a dark horse? Looks good to me. Not sure why he’s being overly. Maybe because he’s a good passer and not a runner first? It’s weird to me.

I think he's a dark horse because it's not normal for a lower rated and younger recruit to come in an jump over both Kitna and Miller. He'd have to be pretty special for that, I think.
