NOT ME So I’ve been to 300 plus as well. Miss state in orlando. ole miss v uf in jackson. Sounds like you came on here to tell a guy like me that you have given up. Candidly you lost me at you don’t care anymore I haven’t. I’m frustrated as all get out. Give this alum a reason to cheer. CBN deserves time but he’s not immune to criticism. I’ll keep watching and attending. It’s more than the game. Lunch at Spurriers and pretty women all over. Friendship forged over decades. Met the salty dog owners EW game. great gators Fire at the tailgate/ laughing so I hard I get hiccups. Crashed a college party welcomed and felt like family Nothing better win or lose. If you give up ( I think abandon is a better word) I get it. Hope you get the spark back.
I used to watch all of them, including listening to the call in show on Thursday..loved SOS on those..very entertaining...loved him..still do
For a few years the games were broadcast locally, but not out of the local market. At least that is my poor recollection.
When we were on probation, they didn't televise the UF/fsu game up in tally...but they were showing it locally in Gainesville..we drove up and got a hotel room and watched it..we won..and the streets in Gainesville went wild..
We use to watch the replay Sunday morning on sunshine network, any games that weren't televised in our market. We got Direct TV in the mid 90s and use to get every game except the cupcake non conference games. I use to try and skip out on church because I wanted to see our back ups score in the 4th, heathen I know.
Cool. Just don’t lower the rear end to make it look like it is squatting to pee…but if you do make sure you adjust the headlights down.
you are the epitome of bad Gator fans. We were told many times that it’s go to take years to be good again and to expect going 6-6 this year and yet, you and many others chose to ignore reality and want it NOW.
When you return, be prepared for provocative sorority girl outfits that are much more revealing than they were in past years.
I feel your frustration and understand it. Your point was to vent with other friendly Gator fans and ask if anyone has hope that things may improve. I get it. On top of the team needing a rebuild the game is changing...becoming more commercial. Less of a game and more of a product with a university logo. The combination makes it a lot less enjoyable. The upside is that it affords time to refocus on things that matter to you! May it go well for you! Not really sure why folks need to call you out when you are asking for support.Lots of angry people around...even here.
Hell, aside from the Gators, I don’t even watch college football at all, won’t even be watching #1 vs #3. There were times in years past I’d watch multiple CFB games on a Saturday. Now I hardly watch any at all, at best a few bits and pieces or a few highlights. I dare say I might not watch a single full game other than the gators. Haven’t even been watching the CFB playoffs for a few years now. I think I watched the first couple and that was it. The general idea of “college sports” doesn’t interest me, it’s a sham. My interest really started waning when all the “realignments” started happening and the NCAA couldn’t even prosecute blatant cheating (Miami, LSU, Clemson, etc). Now it’s official you are watching glorified minor leagues, albeit at least in that environment it’s “legalized” cheating. As a hoops fan i will probably still watch March Madness, but regular season? Nahhhh. I do plan to watch every Gator hoops game though.
Patience is reaching a whole different level… for me, anyway. Coach Napier piqued my curiosity. I know there is a Spurrieresque (my word) Dynasty out there somewhere. Meanwhile will faithfully come to Swamp Gas and check everyone’s grammar. I am finding out what I made of: Orange and Blue. I am very optimistic.
I used to watch the games with my daughter (my son doesn't like sports at all). After she passed away almost two years ago, I haven't watched a many games. (She wanted to be 3rdGenGator).
No offense to the OP because, we're I in his shoes I'd probably be feeling and doing much the same. You were buying a product you enjoyed, and now that the fun is gone you are moving on to other things. Maybe one day you will have the opportunity to come back. But I'm not like that. I'm an alumnus and that is my team. So I persist in my support and participation. Not saying one is better than the other. Different strokes for different folks is all I'm saying.
That changed after 2011.. We want to raise expectations as high as we can around here and achieve the SEC championship or more in the coming three or four years,” Spurrier said. This man set the bar for SC fans demanding more and expecting a better program. Every fanbase has high expectations for their program, not just ones who have already reached that pinnacle and are looking to get back to that.
