The phone log is. . .off. Doesn't make sense. The language, the calls.

The irony is that most of the posters in other sections who cry about TH being toxic align themselves with the same contingent who push the bullshit conspiracy theories. I'll be minding my business posting in the football forum and suddenly out of nowhere someone there will quote me and randomly bring up my posts in TH, I'm like "Damn, who hurt your feelings in that section?" lol

I have to believe that they are children trying to incite reactions from adults. If adults really believe this now sense we are in trouble.

After the last few years, I think these people are exactly what they purport to be. The simple answer that he was a radicalized right-wing crazy is just too easy. There must be a conspiracy here.

    1. An awful event occurs.
    2. In an effort to deflect their own blame or slag Dems, the right invents conspiracy theories.
    3. The right's mainstream Cluster B personality types fall for them hook, line and sinker.

Sign in the Window of Paul Pelosi's Alleged Attacker Should've Been First Clue Something's Amiss (westernjournal.com)

To preface everything that’s about to be written here: Any person with a heart and conscience should be praying for the swift and total recovery of Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Because the initial story that the American people have been sold — that David DePape’s alleged attack on Pelosi was politically motivated — is a dubious one, at best.

A homemade “Black Lives Matter” sign in the window on the right? A sign that reads “Berkeley Stands United Against Hate” on the left? A rainbow American flag adorned with marijuana leaves? Those aren’t the calling cards most would associate with the alt-right.
Based on everything about DePape that has come to light, to call him conservative in any way is wildly misleading.
To call him a mentally unstable person who needs help? More than fair.
To be clear, it would be unfair and inaccurate to suggest that this heinous assault was staged or planned. Given that Pelosi, 82, needed to go in for surgery to fix a skull fracture, that would be quite the commitment to a bit.

However, it’s fair to suggest that something isn’t adding up and that more details and transparency are needed, especially if the left is going to use this attack as some sort of smear campaign against conservatives.

For those rubes that brought alternative explanations from the right wing ecosystem, here's an overview of how it all works and your useful idiot participation in it. Does it make you feel good for your role in this disinformation mechanism?

Will the purveyors of nonsense actually take the time to read the tweet thread? Due the the risk of the discomfort of cognitive dissonance, I think not.

DePape wasn't in his underwear and if Pelosi was in his underwear (unconfirmed by the way) it was probably because that was the way he preferred to sleep.

How it goes in the country is how it goes here.

Thread by @MattGertz on Thread Reader App

By week’s end, a sizable percentage of the GOP base will believe an absurd conspiracy theory positing that Paul Pelosi was assaulted by his leftist gay lover.

    A) An initial, subsequently retracted local news report that the assailant was in his underwear when police arrived.

And B) Pelosi was able to trick the invader, call 911 from the bathroom, and, while speaking to the dispatcher “in code” to avoid suspicion, the dispatcher said he referred to the home invader at one point in that call as a “friend.”

The right’s conspiracy theorists put those two pieces together, threw in some wild and baseless speculation, and came up with the theory that Pelosi was the victim of a gay lover’s quarrel.
