Hate it when you can't hear the question.

Billy is getting tired of ‘these’ pressers, his demeanor is changing. He got real testy @ 12:15 about a question on the talent gap I believe. Interestingly that was the last question for the night.

Okay, that's what it is. You saw the game. You've seen the defense. You've seen the play calls. You've seen the clock management.

I hated it when we'd lose under Mullen and he'd say:
    "We're very close"
"Only a play or two away"
"They are only 6 points better than us"
"We had more yards than they did"

And in almost every Napier post-game presser you hear:
"I need to do a better job"
"We have a lot of work to do to get better"
"We've got to coach better and they have to play better"

Napier is not going to throw his current team under the bus. Give him credit, he’s very diplomatic in these pressers.

I like our run game. But do you see much improvement over last season? Did the staff install plays for certain likely situations? What about the on-field in-game calls? Would it be unreasonable to expect the staff to manage the games well even if we supposedly don't have the talent to play football?

People complained last year that Mullen wouldn't take responsibility for the poor play..that he threw player under the bus

The UF HC job is a meat grinder.

We will be patient with Napier, but he better not turn into another Mullen. You don’t get paid all those millions to just “check out” mentally.

    You’re being ridiculous.
I see a team with far less penalties. An OL that is the best we’ve had since ‘08 …and with a bunch of nobodies. Not one arrest, bar fight, sexual assault accusation or scrum in a parking lot with kitchen utensils. Our 2 best best players are guys that followed him from a Sun Belt team that he developed. Are you kidding me????

No one is happy with the results (right now). But if you haven’t seen improvement from this program in 10 short months …it’s more of a YOU problem.

Transition subpar seasons wear on a coaching staff. They cause you to question everything you are doing when players constantly miss on assignments/reads, execution, etc. Add to the calamity every joe in the world talking, bitching, second guessing every detail without knowing play calls during the game or private discussions during meetings. The off season can’t get here fast enough for the program to recharge. They are on track for a 6-6 ish finish, exactly where they were pegged to finish before the game 1 result.

If we dont see massive improvement in QB1 execution next year isn’t much better than 8-4.

Yeah, it felt like an every week occurrence with the previous staffs. It was frustrating to the point that we just started blaming the GOD for being hardasses.
