0 sacks and honestly, zero pressure on Bennett the entire game.

Not what's being suggested. For all those who apparently expected the play-offs this year, some of us are saying we're 4-4 and right about on-track to where everyone thought Florida would be this rebuilding year.

We could have done both. When I say the administration, I am predominantly referring to the UAA which is a separate entity. This response is a cop out.

How much is the need of an OC, and how much is AR's hesitancy to run? I genuinely don't understand who this team is, but I think I "get" BN as a coach. He's in it for the long haul.

Because a lot of the most negative were proclaiming that Florida wouldn't stop Georgia a single time and they could pick their score. Since that didn't happen they move the goalposts.

They appeared to treat things as if this were a zero-sum game. There's no reason we can't excel in every area of endeavor. There was no reason to seemingly backseat a large industry like football, which is also a sport that is probably the most impactful socially.

    Wow.

So you'll support Florida only after they're winners?

Then why are you watching or commenting on football games this year, if I may ask?

I agree we can have both..but to blame the academic success is a result of where our football program is today..

Right track? This is the worst start in SEC play since 1979.
Not saying some things aren't better but this is not
Minus Vanderbilt, this is not what the SEC is built upon.

    Random Thoughts:

-I have the same concerns after this game as I did coming in. We don’t have an identity, we don’t use our best weapon to his strengths, we appear to have clock management issues and make middle school football decisions. We also could use more and better players, that’s obvious. I’m scared more and better players won’t result in more games won though, at least not for a few more years.

-AR’s been limping more or less the entire year. And limped throughout the game. Yet, when he ran, he was as able a runner as he’s been all year. I don’t know what this staff’s offensive identity is, so I’d recommend they do what a lot of successful college (and now pro) offenses do and add a good bit of designed QB run game. Doing so forces defenders to respect the QB run and opens up the rest of the offense. We have a QB who can’t make reads and can’t hit wide open receivers consistently and doesn’t have a lot of touch on his throws. That QB is arguably one of the more dangerous running QBs in the country, though, even when gimpy. But, we didn’t even bother to give him any designed runs until the third quarter… when we coincidentally had our best drive of the game. But no, let’s keep trying to make him a pocket passer for the 8th game in a row and somehow expect different results.

-We benefited from two great INTs and a fumble recovery that helped get us some points. Honestly… defense played well enough to keep us close, or at least into a shootout. Our identity-less offense couldn’t make it happen. Whatever. Keep building for the future. But I’m pretty concerned.

-Things like AR running out of bounds on his scramble on third and long with 1:30 to go in the first half. Every QB in the country knows to stay in bounds in that scenario to burn clock or force the other guy to burn a TO. And yet he ran out of bounds and UGA saves a TO and then scores a TD. So. He’s either not taught what to do there (coaching) or is taught and is so stupid he does it anyway. So that means our backups are so atrocious and/or untrustworthy that even because he was coached not to do that and ignored his coaching or forgot his coaching he’s still the best we have and we’re not gonna even address it or give someone else a chance. Oh, and this same scenario happened against UK and Gator Nation pointed out how dumb it was back then too. And nothing changed. That’s concerning. Think that happens under Urban? Saban? Kirby? Spurrier?

-We’ve made our bed with the Billy Experiment. It is what it is. I’m all in. He was the best possible candidate this off-season and we got him. He’s recruiting well (we also had top 5-10 classes under Zook, Muschamp, Mac, somewhat Mullen) so he’s at a minimum recruiting equal and likely better. I hate the hire/fire cycle and I want Billy to get 5 years. But the fact we’re so concerned about simple coaching things this far into the first year deeply troubles me. We don’t appear to be improving. We likely lose to ATM and FSU. Is our talent level 6-6 bad? I dunno. I tend to think not.

-I know it’s not at all apples to oranges, because yes, the talent level isn’t what it was when Zook got fired and Urban walked into a very talented situation and added much to it. But you felt throughout 2005 that we were clearly building a monster, both recruiting wise and actual performance. Does anyone think we’re building a monster now?
