Recap: Gators Down Bulldogs in Jacksonville Exhibition - Florida Gators Box Score: (has been removed from website after originally being posted). Most interesting tidbit from box score, 23 strikeouts by Florida batters in 30 outs recorded by Georgia pitchers.
I got locked out of GC after the 4th for some entry date error saying I was a security risk. I don't know if someone gave my connection a shot of penicillin or something but I'm okay now.
I think it was before the game began, and I was just checking out the boards, but I got a weird and annoying security message

Observations after attending until 7th. GA lefty starter very good, their other pitchers surprisingly odd, especially the guy trying to be a sidearm reliever. I sense the strikeouts were due to aggressive batters for UF and VERY inconsistent strike zones for the umps. The umps rotated five. I still think I saw a called strike bounce on the plate. There was a catcher interference and later a hit batsman call that was very strange. Thomas made great charge/field/throw from third. Kurland was a very pleasant surprise at plate, running bases and in the field. Yes, Robertson's speed really showed. Was really impressed with our base coaches, especially first base. He had BT run hard to get a rundown so our runner from second could score on a single and the GA players fell in the trap. There were two outs and they could have gotten the guy at the plate easily. I wish there was a video of the wild pitch that hit the bricks and bounced right back to BT. He threw to third and it hit the GA player going back to third and went hard to left field. He hesitated bouncing toward the plate then back and the runner from second was coming hard to third. You had to see it, but made me very thankful for our coaches vs their's on the bases.
Was at the game last night and Colby did not take infield which meads me to think he has an injury, heard sproat has a pinch nerve in his neck. Got the impression if this would have been a regular season game Sproat would have been available
Read on Twitter that Cags hit 100 last night after a couple 99s. Kid is gonna be a huge weapon if healthy.
Caglianone 3-4 Rivera 3-5 Robertson 2-3 Kurland 2-4 Offensively we struck out 23 times (BT-4; Prevesk-3; Thomas-3).
We had a lot of good things happen last night in our game-this was not one of them…..hopefully we’ll work on cleaning this up!
Thanks, everyone, for sharing your information either from at the game or what you could find on line. Much appreciated. Gators won. Phillies won. Life is good! I’ll be doing a regular game thread for the Stetson scrimmage on 11/6.
