Lack of elite QB play isn’t the reason our defense is 131/131 on 3rd downs.

If we wish to compete for the SEC and CFP, we need to stack elite talent at all positions.

It is not just 3rd down D that is the problem. We are ranked low on first down D as well, meaning other teams have less yards needed to convert in 3rd down. UGA forced us into a lot of 3rd and long conversion attempts today.

In one game the young man was credited with 6 tackles (3 TFL), 2 interceptions (one of which he took to the house),oh and he also caused and recovered a fumble.

We had the offense to win a championship in 2020.

Our defense let us down.

Defense couldn’t stop aTm.
Defense blew the LSU game.
Trask lit up Bama but D could not stop them.

By the bowl game the coaches and team were mentally checked out.

Trask and his 40+ TDs could not mask that suck-ass defense.

Result was 8-4.

 

imagine the record had Trask NOT had THAT kind of season though. It could of been worse than 8-4
