Defensive instead of Offensive PI at the end of the first half which directly led to a poodle TD. There was also the BS call on Marshall that led to leg humper points. I also noticed a delay of game not called on either their first or second touchdown drive which if called could have resulted in a FG instead of a TD. But the non call Offensive PI and instead going with an inexcusable Defensive PI was a huge error by the refs in the game. They called it out on the broadcast. For as inferior we are talent wise we should have been in a very tight game down the stretch if not for the refs. Oh and let’s not forget the ridiculously lucky bowers touchdown on a great defensive play. They got lucky breaks and I felt we were cheated by the refs on numerous occasions. Proud of the team for not packing it in after the first half.
That 3rd qtr had me excited. Didn't have enough to sustain it against UGA's talented depth but our defense forced 3 turnovers on the #1 team and defending champions. That can be something for the D to build on.
Today’s effort beats LSU two weeks ago, and don’t get it mixed up Kirby plays this game for blood, zero mercy was shown today.
Right. On their last touchdown, cameras showed him pumping his fist and shouting "Boom M-Fers!" Cant wait to hand this putz his head.
I think the SEC prefers for UcheaT win so (Not So) Smart will run the table and still get into he playoffs. Harder for the loser of the SECCG to get in 2 years in-a-row.
We get 3 turnovers and still lose by 22, refs are way down the list of things I'm gonna complain about.
The 2 PI calls on UF were complete rubbish. It’s not bias either, imho, it’s incompetence. You’re taught as a referee from the start to not call something you maybe saw. Only call something you absolutely see. Otherwise a flag could be thrown on every play.
We will get them back eventually. And, if nothing else, that glorious win will be secondary to the look on Kirby's face after his loss. Go Gators.
I actually didn’t see any PI at the end of the 1st half. I know the announcers said they thought it was offensive and were surprised it was defensive but perhaps they saw a different replay than what was shown on the streaming broadcast.
Funny post. So fine, maybe we only lose by 15. Happy?? Just seems like a waste of time bitching about refs when you're beaten by 22, but you do you.
Personally speaking it's not just about outcome. Marshall has to feel exasperated whe he gets called for good defense. It does carry ripple effects and It did lead to points on both drives
It is bias. If it wasn’t bias the bad calls would go both ways. That’s not how it works when UF plays - especially against Georgia in a year they’re #1. We knew we were going to get hosed. Sure they’re a better team, but the refs were a significant factor in this loss
