While there's still the possibility that it was burglary gone wrong the facts strongly point to a politically motivated attack and while a rational person who have had the sense to determine if Nancy Pelosi would have been present "rational" is the last adjective that would be used to describe the assailant. The chances are the police were able to get to the residence quickly because they were fortuitously alerted through a private security service. Correction: The police arrived while the assault was in progress because they were alerted by Paul Pelosi through a 911 call. He apparently phoned 911 as soon as the assailant broke into the residence.
Once again, I don't give a shit if you or anybody else doesn't like the Gateway Pundit, I don't read info to make my leftist wacko friends happy. Now that we got past that, Greg Kelly did bring up some good points
I think we can eliminate the burglary motive. "The intruder confronted the speaker’s husband in their San Francisco home shouting, “Where is Nancy? Where is Nancy?” according to the source. The man who assaulted Paul Pelosi tried to tie him up “until Nancy got home,” according to two sources familiar with the situation. When the police arrived, the assailant was saying he was “waiting for Nancy.” Assailant tried to tie up Paul Pelosi in home attack and shouted, 'Where is Nancy?' sources say | CNN Politics
Of course you don't. You read the Gateway Pundit because it reinforces your absurd preconceived narratives. Although there is still the possibility that it was a burglary gone bad, the assailant's digital footprint is such that he is a strong believer in a number of absurd conspiracy theories several of which have demonized Pelosi and the Democrats. He reminds me of the guy who barged into the Comet Ping Pong Pizzeria armed with an assault type rifle because he wanted to save the children being held hostage in the basement by Hillary Clinton. In case you do not remember and although somewhat off-topic it's a valid analogy. In Washington Pizzeria Attack, Fake News Brought Real Guns (Published 2016)
So this violent scumbag was a conspiracy theory nutjob wacko, reminds me of a certain contingent that's always pushing batshit crazy conspiracy theories...
Has anyone explained who the third person in the house was when police arrived and why Pelosi and the attacker were both in their underwear? Also I’d assume they have video devices at least around their house? Will people ever see that video?
Can always count on the right-wing propaganda sources to create conspiracy theories about the radicalized conspiracy theorist who attacked the Speaker's husband.
I don’t know if that’s even true. But I know I’m usually in my underwear in the middle of the night so wouldn’t consider that unusual. Why a purported nudist would be wearing underwear is a more interesting question.
They create a conspiracy theory out of everything, whether it's a mass shooting, an election that their guy loses, an insurrection at the Capitol, or the Speaker of the House's house getting broken into. Then they wonder why no one takes them seriously.
When people from other parts of GC say that Too Hot is toxic, I shrug. Then I see threads unfold like this and I get it.
That’s the thing with these online QANON/Infowars/MAGA lunatics, they can apparently be made to believe anything. I assume most of the “influencers” are trolling, but plenty of lunatics take it seriously. I dare say we’ve seen more than a few on this board that come off quite similarly. The great shame of the current Republican Party is that they actually pander to these people. I’d call it “absence of leadership” but that would be underselling, it’s evil.
Pelosi attacker David DePape was psychotic addict estranged from pedophile lover & kids (nypost.com) And, as I soon discovered, DePape lived with a notorious local nudist in a Berkeley home, complete with a Black Lives Matter sign in the window and an LGBT rainbow flag, emblazoned with a marijuana symbol, hanging from a tree. A closer look reveals the characteristics of a homeless encampment, or what Europeans call “an open drug scene.” In the driveway, there is a broken-down camper van. On the street is a yellow school bus, which neighbors said DePape occasionally stayed in. Both are filled with garbage typical of such structures in homeless encampments. People come and go from the house and the vehicles, neighbors say, in part to partake in the use of a potent psychedelic drug, ibogaine. Neighbors described DePape as a homeless addict with politics that was, until recently, left-wing, but of secondary importance to his psychotic and paranoid behavior.
Suspect in assault at Pelosi home had posted about QAnon On a different site, someone posting under DePape’s name repeated false claims about COVID vaccines and wearing masks, questioned whether climate change is real and displayed an illustration of a zombified Hillary Clinton dining on human flesh. In a Sept. 27 post, the writer said any journalists who denied Trump’s false claims of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election “should be dragged straight out into the street and shot.”
