    I paid $18k for my first house in 74. Paid $10k down had a mortgage for less than 8K and a house payment of $78 per month that included insurance. But you are right about the pay scale I wasn't making but about $2.50/hr.

    I just paid $3.99 for gas in Pennsylvania. Maybe uncle fester can fix that

    how much will the national average, if much, be effected on nov 1 when the 25 cent reduction ends in florida?right now average is 3.72, in gainesville 3.37

    Oil is under $88/barrel far less than it was in 2008 when it was $150/barrel. So why is gas so much more expensive now than compared to back then?
