That is untrue. The remark about punching him happened while she was still in the Capitol in her office, before everything started. She was talking about the people arriving outside of her window and the rumor that Trump was going to join them (which he apparently had planned to do, but was stopped by Secret Service not being willing to bring him there to lead his riot).
Even worse. She was clearly advocating violence against a president prior to any other violence occurring. Probably should be an inquiry into this!
He had already threatened them and there was violence the prior night by Trump supporters. For example, the long thread on January 6 here actually started on January 5, after the Proud Boys had started the violence. Violent thugs and hooligans brutally attack police officers in D.C. But, despite your claims, you clearly don't have much of a handle on the timeline of the day. You just have what you want to be true.

He was the one trying to include himself in the violence by going there. Try to at least pretend to care about intellectual honesty in your arguments.

Hope is for church, and it’s your job to expect the unexpected, Mayor Lightfoot. That’s why you were elected. During the COVID lockdown in the city, while the rest of Chicagoans were huddled in their living rooms driving each other crazy, Lightfoot was caught going to a beauty salon for a haircut (please feel free to insert your own witty comment here about the results of that haircut). Was Lightfoot apologetic? Umm, no. The mayor justified her double-standard by explaining, “I’m in the public eye every day.” It’s OK for the mayor to violate her own orders, but not you peons. We can also consider the way in which the teachers’ union walked all over Lightfoot in validating her position on this list. But nothing is more indicative of Lightfoot’s disastrous performance than the violent crime rate that is plaguing her city. Murders in Chicago jumped 55% last year compared to 2019, and that is a heartbreaking statistic.
Hopefully he will get a slightly tougher sentence than Paul Pelosi got for his DUI causing an accident with injuries.
