Unlikely any of this changes. It will only get worse. If we want to play with the big dogs, we have to pay like them.
I’m not so sure Gator fans would be overly excited about a conference championship that included a overall 4-3 record and conference 3-2 record, but indeed Cristobal does get credit for that “championship” in 2020. Hell we were 8-4 and 8-2 in conference, lost 52-46 to an undefeated Alabama team and I don’t remember any parades.
I have a post on another thread where I talk about our "willingness" to part with the $$$. It's a problem and has been for awhile. We'll keep losing these 5* guys unless we change our views on this.
We all know about AR, but my guess is that is about it. Frankly, most of what we have on this roster besides him are not worth NIL. The money has to go to the 5* and 4* guys that can elevate the program and get us to where we can contend with Georgia and Alabama. Otherwise, we have a solid 9-10 wins, non championship winning program.
I hope so. I just don't think people need to spend their energy or angst about this kid. He made a decision that he thinks is best for him. It's his life afterall. It's the same with work when I'm hiring somebody to join my team. You win some you lose some.
Happens all the time. Kearney was talking smack about us after committing to FSU and Gator fans were saying how he wasn’t any good. It’s not a good look.
