Exactly! He showed he's perfectly willing to burn bridges with a coach who helped make him who he is. That should be a huge red flag. It certainly is for me. There's a big difference in saying, "I just can't pick yet" or "I just don't know yet." Then pick scUM. This involved a pattern of intentional lying. Yeah, I'm a dinosaur. Character matters.

 

This is the part that we have to remember when that nothing school (Miami) wants to join the SEC... and believe me they already do want in.

Yeah I don't think these grown adults realize how bad it looks to trash a high school kid's character, especially when: A)they don't know the kid personally and B) said adults were just getting ready to welcome that same kid with open arms. It makes you look fake as hell. I love Gator football and want the best players to come here, but what do I look like getting all out of character because some 18-year old doesn't want to come play for my team? LOL it's NEVER that serious.

 

Nailed it. Nothing like a 45 year old dude getting bent outta shape over a 17 year olds 2-3 year choice that has nothing to do with him. And the pretty gross behavior on some social media pages… ridiculous. Calling kids thugs etc. Totaliy inappropriate. And besides all that/ in this day of transfers and flips/ why would you give ANYONE reason to not want to change their mind. I mean, if the kid maybe decides to flip and you’ve gone all scorched earth -Clint -Eastwood -get off my lawn? Bad look Gators.

I think there's room for nuance here. If he actually lied and did a troll job then I'm glad he went elsewhere and may he be forever buried on the depth chart. If he just made a business decision then cool.
