I'm not mad at anyone who takes advantage of the system as it is now. School/booster/player. If someone wants to pay you millions before a snap, take it and run. Until the NIL and Portal get some legit structure around it, everyone should be exploiting the hell out of it. The faster it falls into total chaos, the faster the structure comes and college sports can have some sort of redeeming quality again. That is too say, I don't enjoy watching guys transfer yearly for the cash, but appreciate those that capitalize on the stupidity of those that allowed this.
I’m running out of years here…wonder if I’m going to see another SEC championship. With the loss of cormani and the Uga game Saturday it’s shaping up to be an ugly week.
If no one ever knew which school he was "leaning" towards then this decision would have been simple to understand, all about the money. But that's not what happened, and that's the way Miami and FSU do business when it comes to recruiting. They like to have their kids troll other schools.
Do I think they wanted this mess? Don't be silly, of course not. But if they had made some form of reasonable, structured accommodation for player "profit sharing" before the courts ever got involved, the absolute cluster we are now suffering through could very well have been avoided. And when they did finally accept the inevitable, instead of thinking things through and working out some viable approach that honored both the emerging legal realities AND the integrity of the game, they basically threw the doors open to the grabastic free-for-all that has ensued. I would agree however that the NCAA is a toothless guard dog at this point and that the situation is probably beyond recall.
That's an interesting take on the NIL and transfer portal. But I'd rather have had it worked out first instead of watching it crash and burn before our eyes.
He does have a very slender physique, so that might just be true. He's king on the field at the high school level, but he needs 25 more pounds of muscle to play like he'll be asked to play in college.
Thinking the same way too. Hell these recruits?. I’m probably not gonna be around .It puts a different perspective on things. Hate that my last years will be dominant by Georgia. But truly as the years get to the 7 Th and 8th innings you become less worried about this bs. I was on a cruise during the LSU game.2 people on that boat gave a rats ass about the Gators. Lot of folks however cared about the drink package. Got golf in the morning , gonna post between a 77- 82 ( 6400 yards) then get the meat ready to grill for the game . I’ll be 70 in February. Wow it went quick boys
I feel like a few of us could really learn from that. I know I was a lot happier before I got on Twitter last year lol. I dodge for 10 years and got sucked up into it at the worst possible time 2020 lol. In general I won’t follow a kid on there until they commit to UF and it they flip or decommit I just unfollow them. I like their posts if coaches or commits share it but other wise just refrain from following their stuff.
