Funny I actually thought of asking if anybody was counting Biden's lies as a title for this thread.

I've always thought the dems obsession with the number 30,000 was silly. I never once saw CNN lower their count when a "lie" was proven fact or failed to be proven a lie.

I care when all politicians lie. The intent and severity of it matter moreso.

I actually clicked this thread to compliment you on an increasingly rare instance of acknowledging of a metric that is positive for the other side, but increasingly rare this behavior remains.

Speaking only for myself, the price of gas at the Shell station where I fill-up has gone from $5.07 per gallon in mid-June to $3.37 for regular last Friday. I did pass a gas station this morning where regular was $3.85 still down from the $5.49 the same station was charging in June.

You had to know, when you read the subject line, that it wasn’t an accurate statement.

Indeed it seemed a bit wrong, so I feel a bit sheepish about thinking it might have been honest thread, but there’s always tomorrow. :)

If Presidents controlled or influenced the price of gas, they would each keep it at $1 per gallon and get re-elected forever but they can’t and don’t.

Remember when Michelle Bachmann promised to have gas drop to $2 a gallon? It was the craziest, most unbelievable thing I heard from a presidential candidate (at the time). Then, against all reason, gas actually did drop that low in the next couple years. Could you imagine if she got elected and that happened?? It would have been an all out nightmare.

Gas was .35/gal when I started driving so $1 ain't good enough for me. Guess I have to thank that bonehead LBJ for the price of gas when I started driving.

LBJ was president when I started driving, too. I actually remember paying less than 30 cents a gallon. The minimum wage was also $1.25 an hour back then, the average new house was less than $20,000 and an annual income of $10,000 was enough for a comfortable middle class lifestyle.

Nearest station to my house is $4.65. Not that I care with an EV. The only reason I even pay attention is to see how much I’m not having to pay to fill each week.
