Jimbo is a snake oil salesman. Winning percentage at TAM is now worse than Sumlin and similar to Ed O and Mullen who were both fired last year. He will average 4 losses per year in the SEC. He is an ACC coach. Can’t win in a better or more competitive conference, even with all TAm’s advantages on the facility and $$$ front. If not for his guaranteed contract, I think he would be fired after this season

I miss Steve Spurrier... you're good, you play. If you are not, then you sit. And he took the blame for bad players... blaming himself for putting them in the game in the first place. Lol.

I remember one "mistake" cost us the Tennessee game. At some point it's the coaches that are at fault for playing them.

 

I agree about Coach Spurrier. However the OBC had an SEC roster to do that with. Still . . . very good memories.

I don't think it's being done by incompetent coaches now. I think the kids behind don't offer any appreciable improvements.

There's a reason we expect a MASSIVE exodus to the transfer portal and replacements across-the-board through the portal and recruiting. Much more likely next year we see on-the-field learning by different players. Just my 2-cents.

 

It's obvious at this point. Ridiculous to blame coaches. Or even call out players. We are who we are, like it or not. Gators fighting hard and sometimes coming up short.

 

I think at the end of the year, Napier should reevaluate everything from his coaching staff/schemes to his players, and ones in the transfer portal that he might want to snag. He got 2 really good transfers from the portal last year, 2 might again be the magic number again, depending on who we can sign in December. Can you imagine McClain and Ricks in the same backfield together?

 

I'd like 2DL, 2LB, 2S, 2WR, and what the heck, find the best punt returner in the country and bring him in. Greedy? Maybe, but we could use some help bridging the old world and the new.

 

Uh oh…OBC…they coming for you.
